It WON'T compress with the cap on 🤯🤯🤯

The first time I did brakes I was able to compress the caliper with the cap on, it was difficult but I did it !!!!

most jobs are simple and require minimal tools and simple knowledge. can save thousands by doing routine repairs yourself

That is because most of the rotors today aren't designed to be lathed and reused. The rear's on these cars almost never last more then 1/3 of the usable life on a second set of pads, and your just wasting money, not to mention the risk of having a partially contacting pad. Thats more dangerous since your not getting full use of your pads. Can I reuse the rotors on a older 1999 Dodge RAM sure, more often they will mic out and have plenty of extra meat to bring them back to true. Would that be advised on a newer 2012 Chrysler 200 NO. Not to mention the lawsuit liability on this. In areas of the country like here in the Northeast, the salt air reeks havoc on the rotors and the cooling fins. No worth the risk, over a pair of $30 rotors to trash a nice set of pads.

Cant believe pins or pads weren’t greased and nothing was torqued to spec….new clips were installed over dirty surface

You probably put on the wrong size pads so they slide around each time you press the brake

One thing I heard from the dealer is you can put after markets on anything but they highly recommend stick g to original Brakes, I put a set of raybestos on mine and I’m having some crazy sounds in the rear, bought the bundle original and replacing tomorrow hoping the sound goes away

Change the clip they sell them by them self and becareful when install the new one along with the pads

Dullah Goso hard what size Torque bit did you use for the rotor replacement??

Idk, but don’t the kia’s have slide pins on the Calipers that need greased, like American cars?
