If you have a large family or carry lots of clutter then it's a serious contender. Also very handy if you have a friend who is 1.7 metres tall who needs to sit in the back. 😂🤣
I generally like the design of the new Sportage but like I said in my comment I just got a mix feelings about the front but I guess I'm old fashion and not trendy like you Anna. Kia definitely done the right thing as they needed to update the looks of the Sportage to keep up with the market/ consumers. Yes it is a bold new looks from Kia but sometime you have to do it.
I’ve got the new GTLine-S HEV, and although I’ve had Ford, Honda, VW cars in the past, this is the most pleasant to drive with the most comprehensive technical package, best warranty and not to mention a great looking package. All in all my most favourite car I’ve owned so far!
Kia is a fast improving brand, they produce very stylish cars that don't go over the top, it's a fine balance between looking good and practicality, and they nail it. Love the colour of this car, the black and green work well with the slight chrome/alloy details

For the record I looked at several vehicles last year, including the Volvo you suggested Anna. We looked at Kia, Hyundai, Ford and Lexus. I have been very impressed with Genesis after following your reviews, and will look very seriously at them next time. We eventually settled on a 1.8 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. A lot of car for the money. We collect the car this week having waited seven months. The Sportage, much like the Volvo, was only discounted because we considered it too big for our needs, but a very good package as you have demonstrated today. Thank you Anna, your reviews have helped make a decision and I thought you might like to know.
I liked the previous Sportage's rounded styling, but this version's green over black color scheme and new instrumentation and console are winning me over! Excellent review style and presentation Anna!

I've had my Canadian EX HEV model since September. Still very happy with it. Most people think it looks pretty cool and everyone who has ridden in it agrees the interior is nice, with comfy seats and a smooth, quiet ride. Fuel economy is suffering a bit in the cold weather on short trips.
Another great review of a great car Anna, this car could be right up my street when it comes to change my current car. As you mention the use of buttons combined with the touch screen can work well and other brands should take note of this. As usual flawless editing and production as usual. For the last couple of weeks I've been testing many cars. Cx-5, Lexus NX, Stevie, DS4, Volvo xc40 and the Sportage. I was really surprised how good suspension it has. I tested this car twice, both HEV and PHEV in gt line version. At the end i my choice was between nx350h and Sportage HEV gt line and I've decided to buy Sportage. The only thing I didn't like is wind noise above 110km/h and I'll also miss HUD and "real" keyless system from my previous car. I decided also go for a green color. 😊

The Kia was just giving you a pat on the back for a job well done Anna, I had one of the previous generation sportage but the car just felt under powered, I think the new generation just need a bit more power as well, great review Anna.

Kia like you said are doing great thinks other than getting ride of the Stinger which is a shame but understandable in this day in age. Yes Kia Has grown a lot these days and it shows. I like the looks of the new Sportage and a totally different looks from the old one but I'm bit on the fence about the looks of the front, I like the general design of the front and the day running lights but I don't like the front main headlight unit. The back and sides looks great. The interior looks excellent and it looks like Kia thought of everything that the customer would need especially the GT Line. The 3 different hybrid choices is a great idea. Well done Kia. Just before Christmas I saw 3 new Kia Sportage's in the same colour within a minute of each other. There were in this brown copper look colour. Like you I really like the new Kia Logo. It looks more grown up and more premium and less tacky. But I was watching an Australian guy on RU-vid and he was saying that was a lot of people that was searching KN car's not KIA. Probably thinking they the N turn around backwards for the design of the logo. So was it a design floor on the logo? You smashed it out of the park with this video but I can't remember you talking about the price of the new Sportage. Probably me being a potato.Hahaha. Well, all the best Anna and have a great week.

Hi Anna! I always admire your review style! I have one comment though: camera exposure sometimes is bad, like in 4:49 - there is black hole instead of detailed image of trunk, nothing can be seen. And I have calibrated sRGB/DCI-P3 display. Or please take a shot of a boot out of hand to see details in the car. Otherwise, great review! :)

Hi Anna. If I was shopping for a new car, it would be hard for me to look past what KIA and its sister brand Hyundai are offering. Last year here in Australia KIA sold more cars than what Hyundai did and I put that down to a longer warranty (7yrs for KIA, 5yrs for Hyundai) and the fact KIA cars are quite stylish. Even the people mover the Carnival has a very stylish interior. But one disappointment in regards to KIA is that they are going to cease to manufacture the Stinger sometime this year. Unfortunately they just don't sell enough of them as SUV's is what people are buying.
We’re struggling to find a small/medium family estate to replace our Leon ST. SUVs are too big, too heavy and less space efficient but trying to find a reliable petrol auto estate with a few gizmos (LED auto lights, auto wipers, Apple CarPlay and ideally a sunroof) is proving difficult. It seems all manufacturers are focusing on SUVs and/or EVs. We want neither so have had to stay with the Leon for now. The bonus is 40 mpg and £30 road tax. A Corolla Tourer is a possibility but we’d have to lug around a pile of unnecessary batteries. 🤦♂
Hi Anna, that’s a good shout on the Mazda as you get Japanese reliability and they’re not too expensive. In the UK, Toyota now offer a 10 year/100k mile warranty which is very tempting.

Yes, it's 591 liters according to spec, although I have some doubts about that number personally. My 605 liter Golf estate had a much deeper and practically just as wide boot. However, the boot in the Sportage in and of itself is very decently sized, and comparable to, or (significantly) larger than most competitors.
BMW and KIA store new un registered Sportage. Need be blue. Always looking at them. Find them very attractive. Much more so than her sibling sister the errrr Tucson. End of comment.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM KIA!! I really need my 2023 sportage hybrid and the inventory is always empty🤬😡 Go buy some other Japanese cars, people, I hear they are better in every way.
