I cut my finger sometimes lol is one on harbor freight get a cupón with your cell and you will pay like $30 Bauer has heat setting or one with heat control. Heat gun has so many uses. I don’t how much to pay for the intake. But you can make those with PCV tube with glove and a heat gun can shape the pcv tube. I only pay top money for filters and carbon fiber seal for filters. You can make and shape some tube with scoops they look bad ass. People ask or stop to look those dual scoop inside my grill. This how you really increase hp on the beautiful car get air from the outside not from ur engine. If you do that remember what is going to be getting the air from outside is the scoop. Drill some small hole in the bottom this way no water get on your filter. You can have those filters on the same location but used seal box for your filters.

One tip I've seen is to heat the hoses up and they should slide on easier.

We tried what I just mentioned and ultimately answer was follow Q&D method...it worked out great and as his did. Side note, the 10MM hose didn't seem to seed well on the intake so we added a universal hose clamp just for grins. Everything else was perfect. Negligible. The stock intakes have vents by the radiator that force fresh cool air into the intake area.

@@QuickandDirty Freeze frame @19:50. You can see that most of the air will be aspirated from around the new filters, inside the engine bay. Whereas the OEM filters are inside a box with ducts coming from the front of the car to channel real cold air to them. Granted the new intakes look cool though.

Nice, for sure reducing that rotating mass has a huge effect. I might look into doing the same.

@@QuickandDirty yes for sure it was night and day difference, you should also look into installing a ADD1 oil catch can. The amount of water and nasty oil vapor it catches is insane. And to think that stuff gets pushed through the the intercooler and intake plenums. It produces one coffee Togo full of oil water vapor every 3-4 days. I did it cuz I want to keep mine running as clean as possible.

No. It is called a pre-filter and it is specifically designed to extend the life of the cone and repel water.

It's a short ram intake.

You're going to love it. Makes the car sound so good and you can hear the turbos so much better. You should get the filter covers too that I linked in the description. Makes them look so much better (and provides a pre-filter to keep them cleaner longer). Good luck and enjoy!

Not really, I think you'd need to get a tune at least to notice anything. I bet it would be really noticeable if you had an aftermarket exhaust and downpipe. But let me tell you, the sound and look alone are worth the mod in my opinion.

Performance wise, no. I just liked how the Injen looked if I'm being honest.

I think it's a good idea to disconnect the battery whenever you do anything with your car.

Ohhhh yes, the sound really wakes up with the intakes. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Quick and Dirty did you have to get a tuner or anything to adjust the air: fuel?

Which connectors, the blow off valve recirculation hoses? You might be able to run with them vented to atmosphere but I didn't want to risk anything.

I wouldn't say it's a significant difference, definitely feels like better throttle response, but being able to hear the turbos spool up and the blow off valves is worth everything.

I thought the same thing. I live in Atlanta and it gets crazy hot here. Seems what you gain could be lost from under hood heat.

Not at all. Plus I added the water repellant prefilter covers on there, but mainly did that for looks.

It's always a good idea when working on a vehicle imo. Not sure if it resets the ECU so it can learn the new air intake or not, just seems like a good idea all around.

I am pretty sure those came with the Injen kit. Or they are stock. I did not purchase them separately.

When you remove the power to the car with the list gate open you have to manually release it. Once closed it will work again.

It's part of the GT trim. Factory.

The ECU adjusts. Tune isn't needed if all you're installing is intakes.

Not if you're only installing intakes. Reset the ECU and it'll learn the new flow.
