I can't say I've been that deep into Kiara even with how much I've supported her music, but I think I felt a similar amazement when I learned about some underrated (especially outside Japan) veteran VTubers through HOLOSTARS, especially MonsterZ MATE through UPROAR!! and Aoi Fuji through Rikka. Sure, it can be nice to be a worldwide household name, and I'm not that averse to the popular, but doing and enjoying something even though you're not as popular says a lot better about your integrity. Heck, some things work a lot better in obscurity! And speaking of being religious, I find it ironic that the devil-lored Madam Towa is one of the VTubers who have been especially inspiring my own religiousness, as the way she's so wonderfully social with not just her fans but also her fellow gamers and creators in general reminds me freaking well about the healthiness my religion aims for. And I don't even watch her as regularly as I watch the Stars! And speaking of being social, I don't think I'm even that extroverted, supposing I'm also extroverted! Again, I'm freaking glad that I had faith and stuck around in this community the way I did, and I'm looking forward to doing all that and more even better!
There are some things about Vtubers that more traditional families wouldn't be super down with lol but tbh its not like they are the target demographic and honestly their first introduction to them was likely at the baseball game and even then they just assumed that they were something for kids i remember some stories about how those families also just didn't like anime in general lol - what isn't political to one person is political to another its just apart of life in a community imo it should be something we try to erase but just accept
