Really unbelievable as she previously wants to call it "Soccer". The watchalong is fun nonetheless, even with the Baumgartner heartbreaker in the last game. 😢
Gotta put our urge for war into something less violent afterall XD It's like those old anime that have nations compete in sport competitions instead of actual war
@@TheXell With all this political bans from international competitions it seems people don't actually care enough anymore. Like a couple of years back I saw some cat show banning cats raised in Russia or by Russians. Fucking cats.
Wow, rude. It's kind of like saying most people who go out drinking on weekends are violent, or most vtuber fans are 4chan/twitter schizos, which all vtuber fans know not to be true. But for someone from the outside looking in, it could surly look that way. I go to all home matches throughout the football season, to support my club, and out of the 30.000+ people at the home stadium, only around 5-15 people make problems, and that be in a small amount of all the matches played. Football has a lot of different subcultures and it differs from country to country, from city to city. Many clubs don't even have hooligans, and most ultras aren't violent. But media surely like to portray us as such. Most of the fans are just really passionate, not violent, just passionate. It is true, though, that hooliganism has been on the rise, but I think that's a symptom of general public unrest in a society where gets more and more difficult to get by, and a growth in political tensions. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nf8Vz7Kf0hE.htmlsi=q_lqk_FQx7OtS87y Old reference, but it shows that passion very well.
@@GimmickBox39 It's called "Football", because you have to use your FOOT to play a BALL. No other ball sport has that strong restrictions about using only the feet to play, so nobody who claims to be smarter than the grass growing on the football field would ever use the name football for a different sport. The guys from Cambridge who set up the rules for sport in 1848 definitely knew why they picked this name.
I love how tenchou can go from "meh I guess i'll check this out, could be fun" to "holy shit this is awesome, YLS why didn't you tell me sooner about this?!"
People outside of Europe: So, how important is football in Europe? Europeans: Our vtubers have football fan arcs, they cry with losses, they liberate the wawas, and ask their managers to be allowed to give, ehm, extra encouragement to the team.
You know she's into it when she switches back to native German. But, really, this is like me watching my team play football (the American version). And when I get into it, my native Southern accent starts becoming more pronounced. XD
I was a huge football fan, stopped watching after i started my engineering degree, I still play though (DFM, because to me that was the most aggressive position) every now and then, was a big Man Utd fan, Kiara's streams reminded me of how I used to act when my team would play against my younger brother, my little sister or my Dad's teams
