I've had mine for three months and LOVE IT. Following Trainer Road and it is unreal. A great smart trainer at an affordable'ish price.

Lesal8403 - That’s my thought also: ‘affordable-ish’. Trainer Road is a great app. I used a while back and it seems like they just keep improving it. And I really like the Trainer Road team. They seem like good people. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!

what I really wanted to know from this was a) difference in power being reported in Zwift between the fluid trainer and the kickr, i.e. did your FTP change much? and b) the general feeling to a ride on this compared to the fluid trainer. I think a lot of people will be moving from a dumb trainer to a smart trainer and want to know this. Thanks.

Thanks for posting these questions here Leon! You will see a big difference in fluid trainer power being reported to Zwift. It's very hard to get good power data out of a 'dumb' fluid trainer. So the power could be higher or lower depending on things like how the rear tire connection is set with the trainer. General feel is also going to be better but it's hard to quantify those kinds of things. My wife has been on the fluid trainer for a while. I'll try to get her bike on the Kickr and try to record her initial thoughts.

Hi, I am following your channel and activated notifications! Great job with the new video. I got the Core after seeing your first video and used the discount cupom, so thank you! It is my first trainer and I am really enjoying and making a good use of it. It has been my forth week with it and everything looks really good. I am mostly using it with The Sufferfest App and combined with Assioma pedals power meter. But I also tested it with TrainerRoad, Zwift and loading TrainingPeaks workouts directly to Garmin Edge, all OK! Usually I ride it with my road bike, but it also worked perfectly with my MTB with boost axle. Curiously, it is more silent with the MTB Eagle drivetrain ("adaptation") than with the Ultegra drivetrain from the road bike (using the same Ultegra 11-32 cassette).

I don’t know too much about the Tacx Vortex. I’ll have to read up on it. And I’m guessing you’re biking outside this time of year and will maybe do more trainer rides in the winter? Thanks for commenting!

That would be ideal... Though I've found myself with very limited time lately, so I've been doing indoor rides (a bit too often).. Hopefully things will settle down a bit soon and I can go for my morning rides again! Cycling outside is so much nicer :)

Ich kotz grad voll ab, jede dritte Fahrt muss ich abbrechen weil der scheiss kickr core ständig den ERG modus verliert und sich neu verbinden muss. Wenn er funktionieren würde wäre ja schön aber da war der alte Tacx Flow ohne smart doch irgendwie besser. Ich will den grad irgendwie zurück schicken aber dann bekomm ich warscheinlich erst nen neuen wenn der Winter rum ist..... echt voll zum kotzen.

Hey Quakespeise, Sorry you're having a bad experience with your Kickr Core. I've noticed ERG mode working well for me when turning it on and off from within Zwift. I have had issues paring BlueTooth to my iPad and it seems to struggle frequently. I'm not sure exactly why it struggles to connect but it seems to connect easier with my iPhone. If you ever have any communication with Wahoo, please report back and let me know if their customer support is of any good.
