I am 15 and got a drum set after watching this video. You seem to be having so much fun playing these tunes. Thank you for being such an inspiration and role model.
Hey I’m 16 and I’m gonna my first drum set soon wish me luck 🤘🏻 Edit: Got it today! Learned my first song come together by the Beatles, but I’m in a lot of pain 😂 I’ll have to get used of using the kick drum and hi hat pedal
@@weichun4168 what? I don’t have a drum set..what am I supposed to do? I do have a guitar though and I love guitar so I’m good if I had to stay only playing guitar :)
yeah i like the dude only thing bad about him is his political views i don't care what side he's on it's just his iq is very low when it comes to political shit
It's incredibly satisfying to play a drumless track and be the drummer for some of your all time favourite songs Takes a while to learn to play but once you start getting it you will be hooked for life
I remember being 16 and riding in My Dad's 69 Dodge Charger at 125 mph listening to this song. I'm 47 now still driving that same Charger and still listening to this song. Awesome drumming
I don't know a darn thing about drumming. But when I've seen Tommy Lee playing in videos and such, I think he lifts his arms higher than this guy. Does that mean he hits his drums with more force? If so, geez!
The drummer is the most under appreciated member of any band. He or she, work their asses off, exert more energy and get seen less than the rest of the band, unless you do like Tommy Lee did. But watching your drum face, reminds me of Bonzo getting into it. The drum faces are similar. Awesome talent brother, great video.
Don’t no bout under appreciated, I think drummers are well recognised ( especially if there good ) drummers are the backbone force of the music , power house 🤟👊, example ..... mikkey dee from Motörhead ,
Dude, I know that you posted this over a year ago but I’m RU-vid surfing and just came upon it and watched it. I am a 51 year old fellow drummer playing since I’ve been 12. Man, you rock!! You have a great style. Your kit sounds great too. Your kits sound is obviously limited to how you recorded your kit, but even with that said & understood, I can tell from my experience that your kit sounds amazing live. I love your tuning. I like how you didn’t add anything fancy to the cover song to show off your skills more. Tommy’s a solid rock drummer and you pulled off the song flawlessly. I love how hard you hit the drums, man, but still have a grove behind you. Nothing worse than seeing a rock band playing live where the drummer isn’t putting any power behind the songs. A weak drummer can change the dynamics of the band just like a strong solid drummer can improve the band’s live presence. If your in a band, your buddies must love playing with you and your driving beats. Just wanted to give you a shout out about my thoughts of your playing. Look. I’m no “Neil Peart” but I’ve seen a ton of drummers in my time & I’ve played in bands my whole life so I hope this comment finds you well. Stay safe and healthy!! Keep on pounding those drums!
Its simple, he's using Zildjian cymbals instead of PAISTE 2002s and that my friend IS THE DIFFERENCE!! I would have subscribed but....well you know....
@ well Mr. Surrender I guess I do suck, along with John Bonham, Bobby Blotzer, Ian Paice, Dave Lambardo, Joey Jordison..........Its obvious you have no clue what you're talking about. I guess we all suck for using one of the most legendary cymbals EVER MADE! Dumb ass.......
Had someone recently tell me that drum playing wasn't rocket science. Told him to park his tush on my throne and show me what he had. Got called a B*$(% and flipped off. 😄🤘
I wanted to play drums when I was like 14 and my mom said I can’t because it’s not ladylike... welp, ended up drawing demons in perfect detail as licensed graphic designer. Somehow I had to let it out. Look at the energy this guy has, it’s wild! If my urge to do cool shit is even relatable to this, no wonder stuff driven by it is always so damn cool...
@@joconnell8145 She always says something like "it looks good but why is it always so horrendous?" but she doesn't view my art often. I live in another city.
Hey man, awesome cover of this song. I've been playing for around a year and have just started trying to learn songs by ear. The intro to this song was throwing me off time with the snare hits, this video has really helped me get my head around the song. Thank you.
Thank you!!! Are you talking the big rock ending right at the very end? It took me so long to be able to play that in time with the track. Especially with the pressure of knowing you have the take and not wanting to mess up right at the end 🤣 It really helps to slow it down and practice it at 80% speed or so. Try out AnyTune or an app like that that allows you to slow down songs. Internalizing the timing at different tempos can really make a big difference. Good luck!!!
Nice dude - glad to see someone playing like a real rock drummer and not the "tippy tap I'm barely touching the drums" people :) Kudos also on walking the bass drum on the 2 and 4 in the chorus. Tommy does this allot and it gets overlooked. It adds allot to the punch.
Wow!! that's all i can say. you really caught the essence of Tommy's drumming with your passion for playing along with your awesome technique!!! this definitely brought a smile to my face today!! Good job man!
Dude!!!!! This ones killer!!! Motley Crew was the first concert I ever experienced!! Never seen so many topless women in my life!! not to mention the flying drum solos!!! This ones really taking me back!!! much love!! keep em coming!!! Lets get it!!!!
Hey I saw your other comment about how you wanna be like him And how you are 12 now and in a band I just wanna say keep doing what you love. Congrats on the band man. I'm 15 still no band as a guitarist/vocalist. Im proud of you man keep doing what you love.
i play guitar and im always wondering why Kickstart My Hearts snare sounds so epic. Is it the cymbals? also why Nickelback has such thunderous drums. im guessing mixing. Modern drums sound like shotgun blasts. and Nickelbacks guitars just piss me off. Sweet ass tone and just popstar music....ewwwww. Edit. i hear it now. precise "bang" sounds in the mix during the slow section. damn youre a great drummer. edit 2. maybe its just mix? also goddamn youre sexy . no homo lose the muscle shirts if you dont want the boyz hunting you down.....
Devin kittrell I agree fully! Been following brother Kyle for over 2 years and keep telling my friends, people about him and his extensive drumming history. Shout! Shout! Shout at the McGrail! Boom, boom ba! Boom, boom ba! Yeah!👍👍Wild Kyle, Wild Kyle! 👍
I love seeing a perfect drum cover. No over playing, no adding your own bullshit. Just loving the way way the song was recorded and perfecting it. Good job man.
This song always reminds me of that skiing part from "Hot Tub Time Machine" when they say, "Tips fucking DOWN!" I love it. I was 12 when this album was released. So happy to see the younger generation rocking out to these tunes! Well done!!!!
