I added a reminder for myself for the Kickstarter and am really interested; just found out about this company that operates "in my backyard"! I understand you may not have details yet, and I am not asking for any legally binding terms, but is there a plan to offer support/maintenance for the watches going forward? I'm all about products that last years of not decades :)

Love this stuff! I plan on setting up a tour for next month...I have a handful of pocket watches and one in particular that I'd like to have looked at for potential wrist conversion. If you can, what is the "average" cost for the conversion? I know your store sells finished product for a few thousand...is it the same for a supplied watch?

Im excited about these watches! However, the MPC logo is too big and generic looking. Come up with a unique symbol like the Omega ohm or the Rolex crown. Or, play around with “cWc” as your Colorado Watch Co. symbol. Love the layered steps of the GCT dial. Is the movement an entirely made in house movement? What name did you give your first caliber?Can’t wait to see them at the “One of a Kind” show in Chicago! Wishing you much success with your new company!
Thanks for the enthusiasm! We can’t wait to show you prototypes in Chicago but we’re excited to show you our final dial designs on 9/26 when we release the Kickstarter Campaign. Don’t worry, it says “Colorado Watch Company” on the dial and we’ve decided to table the MPC brand for now, so your feedback has already been implemented! We’re using a new automatic movement made by a company called FTS that is assembled in Fountain Hills, Arizona from foreign components. It’s the closest thing to an American movement available at scale (thousands/year). We’re thinking “Built in the West” will become our slogan since we’re doing so much in Colorado and Arizona!
Love the way they both look. I want both. I would love to see you offer straps at different sizes (I.e.., I have a large wrist around 8” and it’s generally tuff to get an oem strap that fits well…I typically would prefer a 130/90 strap vs the standard 120/80).
Thank you Mark! We have received feedback on both sides of that conversation, in that we need longer straps AND shorter straps! For that reason, we’ll standardize our offerings as much as possible and do the best we can to make “most” people happy, and then recommend partners like Greg Stevens in Salt Lake City (www.gregstevensdesign.com) for custom work like longer straps. Check him out for expert canvas and military style straps specifically!
Please offer these on a bracelet. If the goal is to make versatile watches, that’s the best way to achieve it, especially for previous Vortic customers who already have an awesome watch on a leather band. Steel bracelet allows the watches to complement each other in a collection. RGM offers the option, not sure if they are made in the USA, but could be a way to offer it if they are. Good luck guys! Great feedback thank you so much! We will offer a future watch on a bracelet but it won’t be for a little while as making a bracelet in Colorado will be a big (but exciting) challenge. Our first 2 watches will come with Made in USA rubber straps. We will offer canvas straps separately and it’ll be a standard size so you can have your pick of aftermarket options! We will have plenty of Lume, so don’t worry about that! We can’t wait to show you more prototypes when we release them 9/26!
Colorado Watch Company is being built as a completely separate brand from Vortic. Our new watches will be completely modern and only use modern movements.
