im 27 now. this was one of my biggest inspirations in high school. i randomly thought about this song, haven't listened to it in 10 years. the emotions it gave me when i hear the melody was insane. i feel like Kid Cudi spoke to every HS kid going through some shit at the time, his words meant so much. i literally sang along with the whole song, i would sing a low part and immediately remember what high verse came next. Kid Cudi will always have a place in my heart, so special
Love this man. I’m now 21 and I came back to it for the exact same reason. This brings me back to my times in high school as well. His words really did mean so much and they still do, I’m glad there’s other people that feel the same way he helped everyone in someway. Love it man, much love 🤘🏽
Checking in 12 years later. Wow does this still hit. The memories this brings back is something else. Wish this was on Spotify to save to my phone for constant plays. Hope anyone still listening is doing well. We’re out here doing adult things.
I think that what Cudi is trying to say in this song is that you're going to have good and bad times in life, and you just have to accept it. He means that there's nothing you can do to stop the bad times, but there will also be good times to come. It's like a cycle, and he's saying that's how life is. opinion of course
+oliver tooaye you probably don't know much about rap then xD if you start rapping or you become a hip hop artist underground or signed, you'd know what I'm talking about, or if you just start paying more attention to the lyrics. Have you ever herd the saying rap is more than words? I really shouldn't have to explain much cause this simplistic knowledge and definitely not the da Vinci code.
Kid Cudi is really helping me push through it. I haven’t smoked weed in a minute and I haven’t hung out with my friends in a minute. But at the same time I got a job, good grades, been working out, taking cold showers, and on NoFap. And I’m boutta cop a real cart from my friend in a few days. Life is really boutta turn up
Lol i can tell you used to do alot of drugs in the past but stopped and are now grateful that you can appreciate the simple things of life again and once again realize the importance of long term goals. Congrats man. We have definitely come a long way and are still going to go much further.
+Elegant Elliott nah man don't make music like this, make music you wana here. two cudi's in the world isnt necessary but a cudi and an elliott is the key
+Idkmanrly nope,it was cake,i had alot of fun and jumped at every opportunity I could,no to brag but I was almost always the smartest kid in class,my junior and senior year I did west mec aviation airphrame and powerplant technician school, I got to go fix planes instead of staying in my high school campus all day, basically for the last two years I went to school from 7:20 am to 5:30 pm every week day, I learned a lot that gave me an unbelievable edge over regular high school students,I was a bad kid (class clown) originally and I'm not gonna lie, I did alot of drugs lol and was almost always high, but I passed all my classes and had fun
@@jase3966 lol rizz needs to be strong as heck on the youtubes. Most people think its impossible but the trick is to go yt>snap>built a decent connection> number

Kid Cudi has had such a major impact to my life, it’s the first music that has truly connected to me and it’s gotten me through some of the darkest times in my life. Every time I’ve felt alone or trying to self isolate, Cudis music has helped me. His message is what got me to get the help I needed and to be open and honest about my mental health. I still come back to this song so many years later. I get to see him perform live in a few months for the first time, couldn’t be more excited. Thank you kid cudi, you’ve impacted my life and millions of others positivity
My died passed away at 43 in April. Kid Cudi made 2019 bearable for me when I was wayyyy down there. Here’s hoping for 2020 to be a healing and comforting year for everyone here!!
Going through the comments and nothing about Bob, Lay Lady Lay - one of my favorite Dylan songs. I love Cudi, but lets show a little appreciation to the man by introducing some younger people to other great music.
I was first introduced to his music 2 months after I moved to Kansas from California, it was a hard transition, different lifestyle, I became depressed. His music helped me walk an ominous journey of loneliness, now I am blessed with friends that became family along with a beautiful daughter ❤️
This song makes me cry, but like not in a sad way more like a "everything's going to be okay" comforting kinda of way if that makes sense. I love kid Cudi man this dudes music been keeping me going since highschool
this song is beautiful, people don't give enough props to the lyricists of today. It's simple yet to the point and relate-able.. just a pure expression of raw feeling.. or what ever I unno great song.
i might be the only one listening to this song now.. so weird that i used to go to bed to this song. now im 27 and coming back to this song to feel better. praying for anyone who needs it.
This song reminds me of my brother Roman, I think he used to play the instrumental for us to freestyle to, I don’t quite remember but my brain recognizes it and relates it to him. RIP Roman I miss you every day bro, thanks for moulding me into the man that I am today.
10 years later and I love that I can revisit this song to connect with every single emotion I seem to be dealing with, truly a powerful healing piece of art
Found this song when I was 13. I'm 25. Song still hits me in that special place . I listen to it every once in a while when I'm surfing the web. Absolute gold.
I feel man I haven't even listened to his new album I don't wanna know if it's good or bad I'll just keep bumping this, man on the moon 1&2 and indicudi
2023 damn this was one of the best different genres collaboration. Both worked very great together. Bought back memories. I live that 1 line Cudi said “when I’m gone I never come back” it’s deep there multiple meanings to that bar
It's 2012, verging on 2013. By now I would hope people who are actively choosing to listen to artist such as Kid Cudi, sampling a legend like Bob Dylan would be able to understand it is not stealing, rather an adaptation of the music. He isn't claiming it is his own nor is he selling this song. Kid Cudi isn't the first and certainly won't be the last to sample a song. At least he is choosing such a great song, giving younger generations light of this Bob Dylan track.
i just turned 14 but lemme say i love cudi. the first time heard one of his songs was when i was 6 and day n nite was playin. when i was 8 i was hooked to soundtrack 2 my life and would listen to it on repeat lmao. now i’m a huge cudi fan and him and juice wrld are now my fav rappers.
thats whats up. i was 10 when kid cudi came out with motm 1... been on him ever since. dont really mess with any of his work past motm3 or juice wrld. i wonder if i was your age right now maybe juice would be to me what cudi is.
I graduated high school in 2016. I remember discovering this song somewhere around 10th grade. This had a tremendous impact on my character as a kid and im so glad i can listen to it today and feel those same feelings I had all those years ago.
This music remember me the good old days when I was with my guys chilling all night, laughing, smoking weed and just living the moment. Thank you kid for taking me that feelings back.
I love Kid Cudi's music, new and old. This beat is banginnn. "I be low when I gotta get ready for work, cuz after bills my pockets be hurt... " Story of my life.
This song got me thru high school, kid Cudi is the man I can’t say nothing but great things about the guy he saved my life going thru school with anxiety and depression was hard but having Cudi made me feel understood this isn’t on iTunes so I always gotta come back to it on RU-vid after a while
First time I ever listened to this I love Cudi this is a hidden gem the lyrics, the background song & ironically that’s a Bob Dylan song & I just happen to hear this on Bob Dylan’s Birthday.. 5/24 Lay Lady Lay. Love this Cudi!
Two years ago I heard this jam,now I could probably say Kid Cudi changed my life for the better. His music gets me through some tuff shit.Much love my man, much love!
Dang used to bump this in high school. I had it in my head for some reason today had to find it here. We need this and the prayer on Spotify. Those were my favorites.
Yesterday, a girl came talk to me, she said that she likes me, so I gave her my number. I was really low before that but today, I'm high. That the little things in life that can heal your self esteem. Thank you Cudi to describe my feelings you really deverve find your peace For all the fans too
Same here but I've been thinging with this girl for a month now. I was low before she came and talked to me. I asked for her snapchat and now I'm her best friend. Highs and lows throughout but it has given me hope.
One of my favorite songs by Cudi, because I can really relate to this song a lot. If I was to recommend someone to his music this would be the main song I will tell them to check out.
