Alex Christo Travi$ Scott's earlier music was a lot like Cudi's, he even said Cudi was one of his biggest influences, but he's pretty much become more mainstream now sadly.

@@curledseeker6139 SBTH is so slept on. It's not OG cudi but there are plenty of good songs on both of those albums. They aren't his best work but they are still good albums if you listen to them not expecting a spiritual MOTM3. They have different vibes, but they're both still good albums for sure in my opinion.

I wish people would spend more time on SBTH. I personally think its his best album. It was the rawest form of cudi. The album helped me get through tough times. I wish I could thank him one day.

Okay so I’m not tying to be one of those old heads. But I went to college 10 years ago and I’ve honestly never had an artist represent/take over such a generation as kid cudi has. I remember then being a senior and hearing these freshmen talk about how profound and influential he was and now years later I’m still here.

There will never be an artist as original and unique as Kid Cudi, he's the kind of artist that you can relate to and still be jamming his music years after release.

Just watched his documentary on Prime in 2021. And I remembered how much I loved this song. Got to be the coolest delivery ever ... among so many others. Truly inspiring.
A kid named Cudi and Man on the moon are his most timeless songs, cudi zone, soundtrack to my life, the prayer (My funeral song when the day comes), all his work is dope but in myopinion theyre his best works. Surfin', King Wizard, unfuckwittable are great tho! Shame satellite flight never took off tho Pun intended

I loved kid cudis different music style in Indicud. he's like water he can adjust without problems and he doesn't really care about what other people think. he's so calm it's crazy
noitsua I'm sorry I associate everyone like him with the name Lil Wayne. It's become an entire style of rap, a shitty style. Drake is Lil Wayne. Pitbull is Lil Wayne. Wiz is Lil Wayne. Flo Rida is Lil Wayne... they're all the same bland of crap served on a silver platter to make it look not that bad when in fact it's worse than you could possibly imagine. And even if Lil Wayne disappeared off the map, he set the bar low enough for anyone to be a "rap god" or the hottest thing in music as he calls himself. That's our standard today and its thanks to him. I miss Guru
DocHollowDay pitbull, wiz, and flo ride are all party rappers. its not their job to put huge thought into a song. they make catchy music fun to dance to. its kind of unfair trying to make connections between artists that purposely make very thought out bars and artists that purposely make fun songs. drake also shouldn't be classified with these people. drake has had all solid projects, and THE best album of '11. lil wayne has not really influenced party rap as much as he has influenced some of the best rappers coming into the game now. if you think party rap is the standard of music, stop listening to those radio station and explore the endless realm of music on the internet. if you need help with that, check out freddie gibbs, kanye, kendrick, chancetherapper, j cole, mf doom, earl sweat, etc etc
noitsua While I agree they aren't what I would ever call rappers, the rest of the world puts Lil Wayne into the genre of rap. They pushed real rap out of spotlight and started making this horrible ear garbage that for some odd reason is still called rap. Even though Guru, Rakim, KRS-One, Wu-Tang, Fu-Schnicks, Tribe Called Quest, Naughty by Nature, Das EFX, Big L, Mobb Deep and Big Daddy Kane sound *nothing* like all this shit today people still have nerve to call it rap. Not even that in between phase of old school classic rap to the later 90's-early 2000's rap survived. Where's Mos Def and Nas? It be sad to think about it but where would Tupac and Biggie be if they were still alive today? They'd be forgotten legends only playing on old school hip hop/rap stations. They would be a lost era of music despite it being not that long ago. Yet half ass sloppy written songs about money and self promoting their importance rapping about how cool they are as if they need to brain wash people into believing it... although they do. On top of selling out mentioning products so they'll get paid more. That's what took over? That's what made that era obsolete? That's not right, and that's my point. I know where good music is, it's put off to the side in a little corner where people put things they don't care about anymore, with only the dedicated fans of that era still defending something people have forgotten about. Say Rakim to someone and see if they know who that is or Guru for that matter. I doubt they'll know.
kid cudi needs to be on more peoples radar! i swear to god so many people are sleeping on him like lots of people know of him but not enough people really know his music
