I lost my grandpa to cancer, my aunt to a meth/cocaine/alcohol overdose, a friend to suicide, another friend to fentanyl overdose and my dog to old age all within 3 weeks of one another this past summer. It may sound cartoonish and that’s what I was thinking every time I was told someone else passed. How could I go back to normality when so much bad had happened. Cudi has been such a staple in my life since I was 12 and I thank God for his music, because the truth is it saved my life more than once. I’ve struggled myself with alcohol abuse. This song specifically is what brings me back from the darkest places my mind goes. Call me sappy, call me fake, call me an attention seeker; I don’t care. If you’re every going through anything, play this man’s music. Don’t just listen, hear it. Soak it up. His lyrical genius is a lot deeper than he gets credit for.

Cudi made the wait 100% worth it. I listened to the album and most of it is amazing straight off the bat. For the songs that didn't resonate with me, I'm finding out they're slowly starting to appeal. I remember when my favorite song, Mr Rager, took a few listens to really appreciate. I hope I find a similar effect for some of these songs.

This might be one of Cudi's best songs... so personal, deep and emotional. Also I could see this being on MOTM 1. An instant classic.
