That is the best way to teach them how to do things...give instructions and let them work out the finer points...my grandpa did that for me and I picked up things faster. Wow...that backup alert can be heard in 3 counties!
I started driving tractors when I was around 8 or 9 years old. I only took out one section of fence. The only way to learn is to do it. It's good to see a kid learning something besides playing video games.
You are so right teach them young and it stays with them my oldest son was 12 and drove my car around the block..has been earing a pay check since 15 years old..you are raising your childern the way our country was founded on hard work..self sufficient livestyle.. Great job👍
Bad of hearing, was that your oldest son in the tire truck? Was that his wife in the front seat? Pretty woman. Glad to see that you and Heath cover for each other.
Nicely done, are you __(plowing)__ the ___(snow)___ or raising boys, i say that same thing. On a side note we should be getting our new trees anyday. When are you gunna get some
Hi guys, new to your channel😃. I am confused as to how many of your grown kids live on the property with you all? I know your 15 yr old boy and your girl...but I see other grown boys helping! Do you all live close to each other? I am a long time subscriber of Red Poppy Ranch, Heath and Cedar sent us over to see your channel.
We have 3 sons one daughter. Our oldest is married and lives in the town about 15 plus miles from us as the crow flies. The rest of our children live at home for now. Our other oldest, cole is working alot of hours so we dont see him much.
That is a difficult job to change tractor tires like that in the snow and mud . I worked for a tire dealer and have done them before . Got some hard working young men there , like you I am definitely looking forward to spring and warmer weather ! Thumbs up to you.
Thats about how all my projects go. Start out with intentions of getting work done, end up breaking equipment, looking for tools, spending money on parts, and then the day is done. lol. But those problems are worth it with a view of Gods creation yall got there.
It sometimes happens where a quick job seems like it will be so DANG simple and before you know it you are shin deep in mud and wrestling with tires...in the mud. I imagine that you had to hose down your boots and your pants before you could walk into the house. It's raining pitchforks and hammer handles with thunder and lightening to boot here in Minnesota. Snow is melting fast but over night temps aren't good. I hope you have good weather for whatever you have on your to-do list. Blessings on you and your family and friends and any livestock you might have wandering around the house and yard stay healthy too
Giving him seat time is so important, not only from a safety standpoint for the family but it will be experience he will use throughout his life. Who knows, might end up being a equipment operator, I can think of worse careers !
Did you see the idea to put in a greenhouse for an over winter chicken run? The chickens are not out in the snow all winter and you get a thawed garden spot sooner the following year that has a good amount of pests already converted to manure as the warmer air triggered them to hatch sooner. CB radios are a very powerful tool where you live as you should be far enough out to not get the normal truck talk but should be able to talk back to the two homes from the road in if you have an issue and between homes if you need help.
a great post on a day gone sideways! your last line summed it all up. Sorry for you buddy, but thanks for letting us watch over your soldier. I think its great letting tell learn the equipment. Have him ride with you when you level out the yard later. He can lean even more. I have been curious about your "driveway" Now i have an idea of what you put up with. (yay, mud season) NOT!
Good Job for a heavy task (changing tire on that big wheel)!!! Glad for this new update on what is happening to you all out there...It is a relief to know that you are doing just fine🙏🙏🙏 ❤️❤️❤️ On to the next👍 Stay safe🙋♀️
My compliments on putting you son on a +/- idling dozer, raising men. Super job. He can tackle that 60% hill up by your water tank after lunch once he can clear snow and leave the grass with the throttle up against the stop!!!
I would be very surprised if there is another 15 yr old who has all the experiences that you have let Tel enjoy the past several years....too many parents are treating thier sons like little girls and doing every thing for them and letting them sit in their rooms playing video games. What a waste! Congratulations on raising a couple of fine young men possessing many of life's skills necessary to be independent in this World.
He MIGHT make a mess. Have a bit more faith. Your approach is excellent. I like the way you get all your kids to take a real part in this life that you are building.
I applaud you sir for raising your kids to know how to work. That’s something that’s terribly wrong with the way today’s kids are being raised IMO. We are growing a generation of kids that don’t know how to get their hands dirty.
Outstanding young man, thank God! My "Progressive" neighbor has twin 5 yr old redheads that she dresses in pink and purple and flowered yoga pants with long hair, I swear she can't wait for the day they tell her they want to be girls! This stuff really happens out here in L.A.!
