You know it's really awesome that he gave that information out. I guarantee you he is MTHFR snp gene mutations. It can cause a whole host of issues. Especially mental issues. These people cannot methylate properly. I'm part of that group. So is my son so is my mother my grandmother my aunt and three out of six of my cousins. It even extends into our extended family. Such as my grandmother's brother his three children, six out of eight grandchildren. I truly hope he sees my comment. They are very simple things that can help him methylate. Will help him actually process and make his own melatonin melanin and D3. Guaranteed he has oxalate issues as well. Bless him. Things such as folic acid can be a slow cell death for ourselves. It must change into another chemical before it changes into folate. That chemical gets trapped into our cells. That chemical actually is a chemical in the cyanide family. It's really sad that people don't know these things but I guess if you don't study genetics you would have no idea.

I love the creative way he expresses himself: "God came down and punched my back", "By good good juice, I mean water". the kid talking about his experience going to the mall alone hits close to home. thats why i dont go to the mall ever i just do my shopping online lol. even as a woman, im overly cautious about how others perceive me (like as a threat or not, if they think im weird or not, if im grossing them out etc) and just feel the need to RUN if i get a vibe tht they r scared or weirded out by me. as u get older u learn how to cope with things a bit better but those thoughts and feelings are still there. like i cannot go to the grocery store more than once a week, i lock my car 3 times, among other "routines", yeah social anxiety + adhd is quite the experience isnt it? i could rant forever but i think this is enough for a yt comment lol

@butasimpleidiotwizard 3 года назад
That sounds kinda like ocd, it's not uncommon to have ocd if u have adhd (I have both lol) but it can be kinda hard to tell because ocd like. Feels rational to you on some level. Like you know it isn't but it's not as crazy as like "I have to tap this 3 times or the building will set on fire" which I feel like a lot of people make it out to be, sometimes it's just like "if I don't breathe as quietly as possible while I'm on this bus everyone is gonna look at me and think im a weirdo who breathes funny" which is fucking absurd because you can't even hear weird breathing on the bus it's so loud in there and I'm not even breathing weirdly when I just breathe normally but I get so paranoid and anxious about it that I have to just give in and breathe weird so that no one thinks I breathe weird, it's dumb but it doesn't feel dumb because it's a thing that could feasibly happen it just most likely won't

@dogdog2365

same i am really scared of how people think of me that it forces me to just freeze and not even say a single word at all. which is why I socially want to be irrelevant (usually in school) so not much attention gets to me and there would be less judgement and anxiety.
@aphr0d
@aphr0d 3 года назад
TheGuyWithAHoodie there could be a pattern of overthinking with ADHD but it's not always the case. Paranoia or being overly cautious hasn't been my experience with ADHD. I don't worry too much about how I'm negatively viewed and instead try to actively have positive thoughts about people and even positive interactions. Even if that's just a smile .. or complimenting someone in my head. Funnily enough, the more I do this, the more I think they're thinking positively about me too. I used to be quite insecure in my youth about how others viewed me, and this change of pattern helped me so much. but like the original commenter noted, there's always a worry about a threat being around the corner but that could just be healthy caution (being vulnerable in some way makes u feel like this). As a woman I definitely have this thought in the back of my mind

Okay so avoidance isn't a great strategy for dealing with anxiety but neither is constantly exposing yourself to triggers, the method to deal with this is essentially confronting your problems by avoiding them, which sounds stupid but hear me out. If you acknowledge and accept that you have a mental health issue that is obstructing your ability to succeed in a school environment, you need to tell people that AND tell them what you need from them to be able to manage that issue so you can improve. It won't always go well and that is hard to deal with, but it's worth trying because when it does work it makes everything so much easier. Maybe you need a special pass or something that allows you to leave class and go to a quiet space where you can still be supervised but have less people around you, wherever that may be. Maybe you need private meetings with your teachers to help you break down assignments into smaller less overwhelming steps so it takes less mental energy to make progress. Things like that that help you avoid your triggers without avoiding your responsibilities completely. If you can communicate your problems in a way that shows you want to do well and are willing to put effort in to improve it can really help convince people that you aren't trying to use your mental health as an excuse to get out of stuff, and that you are capable of doing what's expected of you provided you have the right supports.

I mention school first because it's easier to improve that anxiety than social anxiety at first, but once you start thinking about strategies like that and practising them you'll be able to start applying the same kind of thinking to social anxiety and that can give you just enough confidence to still function while you try to work through and process your insecurities and learn to love yourself, because that's really hard and takes a long time but it's much easier when being insecure isn't making you too scared to leave the house unless you have to
