A complete playthrough of Vic Tokai's 1990 NES game, Kid Kool and the Quest for the Seven Wonder Herbs.
It's much easier than it looks - it just takes a fair amount of time to get accustomed to the character's momentum. Extremely fun!
The ending changes depending on what the in-game timer reads by the time you finished the final stage. All of the endings are shown at the end of the video.

This and Psycho Fox on the Master System, same exact controls. Could never get acclimated to them.

You may want to try Psycho Fox for the Sega Master System. It's a better version of this game, with a different plot, better controls and a couple different character transformations with varying attributes. I think that's the only one you haven't LPed yet on the channel from this "trilogy" that also includes Decap Attack. :)

To me Kid Kool is the better game. I've never liked Psycho fox with its weak music and ugly character's.

A really cool platformer that takes a lot from Mario and Adventure Island, but has a lot of quirks on its own. And it's insanely fast, like Sonic speed at times. So, I guess... Genesis does what Nintendon't, except for when it doesn't.

Its so strange seeing kid kool in this game doesn't look identical compare to the Kid kool in the Box cover, mabye JP change? I guess

It's due to the fact the main character in the Japanese version was well known for their impression of a Japanese baseball player, one that was virtually unknown in the west, so they changed him into something more generic.

Damn, as a kid I could never get past the 2nd stage and not only am I proud of that now that I’m older, there is no way I’d want to keep going anyways this is so frustratingly hard just watching!

That's exactly what I thought. And funny enough, Alex Kidd like the person below's reply- mainly because this game's "sequel" was on the master system (Psycho Fox)

NintendoComplete Alex Kidd was the first game i ever played, followed by Sonic The Hedgehog, as i was lucky enough to own the relic, which is a Master System II which had the game built into the system :)

Sylvester Ashcroft That's sweet, I still have mine. I think it has a couple light gun games built in, I never bothered with them. It's a great system :)
