I feel like this should get reanimated for the newest Digimon movie coming out or for when the blu ray of this movie is out with all new uncut English dub version
You know, it's kinda sad that this is arguably among the few things relating to Digimon: The Movie that still holds up, relatively speaking. Worse still, this movie could've been much better than what we ultimately got if they just stuck to the "prologue" set three years before Adventure, and Our War Game as originally planned; but the execs forced localization to include Hurricane Touchdown in a misguided attempt to promote 02 stateside. What they should've done is kept it a separate movie from the other two, and spun it as the sequel; this way they could still have them tie together if they really wanted to. THAT would've made a LOAD more sense, and make for a much better parallel to Pokemon: The First Movie, and Pokemon: The Movie 2000. Maybe then we'd have got theatrical releases of ALL (or at least most of) the other movies they'd eventually dub, rather than churn them out as TV movies, which is a bit of a disservice to them.
What was the month and year that Digimon came out in theaters? If what I am reading is correct and it came out in October, 2000 then I was 3 and since I was so young I get confused easily when asked if I saw the movie in theaters.
But the movie was dubbed in American/English so that's why they was able to do an American song. ;) So they made a Canadian version too? Or did I completely miss somethin? XD
