Our favourite spot for our family on our hired camper van holiday 23 years ago. We stayed there one night heading south and came back to stay another night when we were heading back north. The highlight when we returned was to see a very pregnant donkey,on our first visit, had her baby when we returned 2 weeks later.
Naomi would love it there. Lovely looking atmosphere also. Stay safe guys, there are some crazy drivers down that way who don't know how to drive to the conditions
tell us about it, we were at Lake Wardell where there were crashes everymorning during the hoar frosts. Not really safe to drive before 10.30 am in those more extreme winter conditions. Got to let the road working guys go over it and de ice and grit the roads first. Dog friendly at the Farmyard, and pretty affordable as far as paid campsites go.

What great content, Mike Sophie and family. Anne and myself never did get to take our caravan round the South Island, before we sold it. We covered most of the North Island though. We love that as a family you are seeing so much of our wonderful country and recording it. As an ex- dairy farming family we usually spent our breaks at Whangamata so we could swim surf and relax, even if it was April, when cows were dried off, we made the most of it. Keep on doing what you guys are doing, great stuff.
Awesome mate, glad you found us, we have some amazing adventures and it's so nice having the freedom to stay in areas longer, we used to have just the odd week or so, which always felt quite rushed with so many things we'd want to do in that week.

Was a really fun place, lots of little Gems like this down South, reminds me of fun as a kid myself. Thats why we loved Tiaki so much, lots of outside fun. I think the rest of this week is looking warm, before it gets real cold next week. Thanks for watching Teresa.
