This season, our Youth Team athletes focused on our theme of "creativity." The kids created their own parkour lines and challenges independently and as a team. In parkour, we use video for both creative expression and to analyze our movement. When I played back the clips for the kids, they wanted to get in on the filming action and ended up filming many of the clips themselves.
I'm so proud of what we created together. The kids were highly motivated, focused, and adaptable. Creating their own lines and challenges pushed them to hone their skills with clear goals in mind. Although it's not shown in the video, our Kids Team also created new iterations of favorite parkour games like PDQ, parkour tag, and Ninja Village.
Locations in this clip include Cordata Park in Bellingham, the Fremont neighborhood, and University of Washington in Seattle.
