The 2000s one was pretty accurate. Although from my personal experience, I think the 90s or 70s meal would be seen a lot during the 2000s as well. You could also probably see PBJ sandwiches (actual sandwiches or the kind that you get from the freezer section of the store that basically looked like a giant ravioli), Capri Suns, Trix Yogurt, fruit by the foot, or a pudding cup.

When I was growing up I ate a can of rice with seaweed, some sesame oil, soy sauce and if I was lucky a few grilled sardines. Weird how after nearly 8 years of the exact same thing I never disliked it once.

I was a 90s kid. When I did bag lunches, they consisted of Spaghetti Os in a thermos, a braunschweiger sandwich, chips, and cookies or a Lunchables package with either a Capri Sun pouch, Kool Aid bottle, or Hi C juice box or these little jugs of juice- I can’t remember the brand name, but I think Sam’s Club carried them.

The little blonde was the only one that wasn't completely rude. She was more sweet about not liking it. The other kids need to be taught to be greatful for what they get. Kids now adays are so spoiled. When I was a kid I was greatful for any food I got because I knew my parents tried thier best. I ate everything without complaints because I knew there was kids in the world that were starving.

I don’t care what everyone says, I think these kids are delightful! They were asked for their opinion and they answered honestly. That’s what I love about kids, they’re straightforward and they don’t beat around the bush.

Imagine being alive during the 1930’s, and all your parents pack you for lunch was coffee, a can of baked beans, and A SINGULAR SLICE OF BREAD. I would honestly be kinda disappointed compared to now, but back then times were different, so I kinda understand why that was all they got.

I just watched this. I’m unsure what paper bag lunches actually mean - if it’s like the ones bought by students, prepared by most parents around those years, paid for but provided by the school, or a combination of any of the 3? I tried to look it up but my search results almost always end up showing, “brown-bag meetings” instead. This video also reminded me of the warm, home-cooked/prepared lunches our mom used to make for us back then. I truly appreciate it. 💛 If I was still within these kids’ age range, and had to try those paper bag lunches, I’d probably eat more of those that they preferred, too (those starting 1970s). However, those lunches consisted more processed/junk food. I KNOW - It tastes good 🙈 but it also made me wonder if I’d still be someone who won’t struggle incorporating fruits and veggies into my meals/diet if I was raised not used to eating them in the first place.

We ate *plenty* of bologna, Spam, tuna salad, liverwurst, deviled ham, hash, and egg salad sandwiches for lunch in the 60s and 70s; always on white bread (Wonder or Weber’s) with iceberg lettuce and either mustard and mayonnaise or Miracle Whip. 🥪

Well, some people are saying we shouldn’t be so aggressive towards these children’s actions, but when I was a child, I wouldn’t say things that are disrespectful like they do. And this is food, everyone should be grateful for having food to eat. It’s not an age problem, it’s a cultivation and duty that I believe are taught by parents and teachers at kindergarten.

Idk about you, but my lunch was always a peanut butter sandwich, gogurt, and a juicebox. Never saw any other kids with a tuna wrap, but I’d always see the rich ones with Lunchables or Kid Cuisine

By the 70s, you either used foil, Saran Wrap, or a pre-folded plastic sandwich bag for sandwiches. The resealable zip-lock bag situation wasn’t around yet so you would not see loose Pringles in a Ziploc bag. They might be in an open-ended plastic food-storage bag closed with a twist tie. By the mid-70s, maybe even earlier, Lay’s was selling snack-size chip bags in variety packs. “Variety” back then meant plain, BBQ, and Fritos. 😂
