she missed an opportunity to try grape leaves, I don't know a single person in the whole world who doesn't like them, we are starting to realize this in the middle east and making it a stable for any foreign visitor to ever come by.
Well we do have sarma or dolma when we picnic but not sarma inside of dolma 😂 and often some pastry, tee, watermelon and most important sunflower seeds 👌🏼 But I guess the classic Turkish picnic still is barbecue 😄
Right?! Also, the egg is cooked to death! Yuck! The scone looked foul and also like pizza. WTH is Coronation Chicken Salad, let alone in a sarnie! Crackers with Cheese???? Sigh....
Yeah, Scotch eggs are wrapped in sausage meat, which is herbed pork, and breadcrumbs. That looked more like some kind of pie than a scone. But coronation chicken is a pretty standard sandwich filling. Usually it doesn't get the honour of salad as well, but I don't see why it couldn't. Crackers and cheese is bang on picnic fare, though.
I think this goes to show that not everyone from a certain country is familiar will all of the even commonly know food variations. When people come on here and say something is wrong, they might be wrong. Of course, who are you going to believe is another question. Having said that, is there anyone who didn't think, "that's a scone? Not the kind I know of. Looks like pie."
I actually dont know anyone that likes coronation chicken that is under 60 And most of the time the 'British' foods on anything not British is wrong, I'm just glad they didnt have marmite tbh
The elder sister is really nice.. I loved her when she said.. At last "Go spend time with your family. Cause I know you guys are on your electronics. " you go girl 😘
They're literally recording a video using electronics and we are watching said video. They wouldn't even be on this show if it wasn't for electronics (-____-) I get the sentiment though, don't get me wrong lol
Those 2 sisters were so entertaining and sweet to watch. The older one acting like the mum and getting so happy about getting the question right was so wholesome. The younger one was so funny to watch as well. Hope to be seeing them in more videos/episodes😊
The only one I knew that was Turkish was the grape stuffed in rice because I’m Moldovian and in our language it’s called sarmale also known as cabbage rolls Normally originated from turkey so that one was right
When we went to the beach we had sandwiches made of white bread (duh!) With tomato's, cucumbers and white cheese. It was kinda one of the best memories of my childhood ,😅
Woah Turkey one was so wrong! No one eats these foods in the picnic, we just eat foods like sandwich and fruit like normal people. And I'm Turkish but I'm seeing that "stuffed pepper" for the first time, this is not an official food, you guys just mixed two foods called sarma and dolma lmaaoo!!
We eat meat and chicken though, other than that i agree with your comment. The so-called stuffed pepper looked so bad, and i can taste how bad the sarma is just by looking it
I'm greek So I know that we share quite a few dishes and when I saw that pepper with the dolmas inside that I was like...wtf... Also..kofte isn't supposed to be smaller than that?..I mean that how Smyrneans brought kofte (kiofte/kefte in greek) to Greece..
@@georgep.5818 Koftes are too thick. I've never seen a kofte that thick but it didn't look so bad. That so called stuffed pepper though.. I probably wouldn't eat it 😄
We do not eat that for picnics in Turkey... I don't think you could've been more wrong. And we don't put those in the pepper. That's actually the firs time I've seen that done
Yeah, but there are paprikas stuffed with the rice, but not those paprikas. But I think it was kinda cool to use the Paprika as a kind of box for the leaves (which by the way were too thick)
That is not what we eat in Turkey for picnics. Sorry but you really need to make a detailed research if you dont want to offend anyone. Our picnics usually contain different types of grilled meat and vegetables and a lot of salad. If it is a day long picnic we also bring sandviches.
Well, the finnish one is kinda odd. I mean tippaleipä (funnel cake) is only eaten on finnish May Day and the Jansson's thing (Janssonin kiusaus), is not traditional picnick food but it's finnish though😅
"You think it's chicken wrapped around an egg?" "Yeah" "That would be kinda messed up..." LOL someone tell Hi-Ho about oyakodonburi (it literally means "parent and child bowl", it's chicken and eggs on a bed of rice and my favorite Japanese food when I was little 😂😂)
Very creative take on the Dolma there hahahha just stuffing the stuffed pepper dish with stuffed grape leaves hahah you took stuffing to another level hahaha
That’s exactly what I thought too. When Turkish people go on a “picnic” its not like they say “let’s go on a picnic”. They literally go out, decide to go to a park or the seaside and on their way pick up snacks like su flower seed and some drinks and thats it. Maybe sandwiches are involved sometimes but really thats all. Everything else belongs to bbq as you said
Elli Latvala They should make an episode of Finnish foods! Karelian pasty,, Runeberg’s tart (runegergin torttu), rye pudding (mämmi) and many others to choose from. Jee, ihanaa että löytyyy muitaki suomalaisia 🇫🇮☺️
As a German girl, I have a question. Why do they always drinking water, if something is too spicy? Don't American people know that it doesn't help? It's the opposite. It will become even worse. The best thing is drinking milk or eat bread with olive oil. Sorry, if I wrote something wrong. My English is not that good.
@@feslenraster No, the reason for the shape of the scone is a legal issue. Americans' lost the right to make round scones on 4, July 1776! Ever since then they have to be by law triangular.
Scotch eggs are traditionally pork, and that's a sad excuse for a scone. Usually so excited for these videos, but ya seriously have to do your research.
maybe some of the kids were Muslim or Jew, or they planned to invite a kid who is from these groups who don't eat pig. as for the scone, it's okay to get some mistakes, I almost had a heart attack in Palestine episode when they made the Knaffeh as it looked nothing like any type of Knaffeh I know, but it's alright.
*wtf kind of scone is THAT?!* 😂😂 fyi scones usually look like what americans call “biscuits” and they so good, but probably wouldn’t take them on a picnic personally 🇬🇧
In the Philippines we serve a lot of food like adobo, fried chicken, shanghai, puto, kutsinta, kankanin, hotdog with marshmallow, rice, and filipino style spaghetti.
Hi, I'm loving these vids, also Austin is growing up so fast! Maybe the kids should try food from Trinidad AND Tobago, i would really love that!!!! PLEASE!
1:09 "Wouldn't that be kinda messed up?" In Japan, there is a popular dish called oyakodon. It literally means parent and child rice bowl. It consists of chicken pieces, egg and onions in a bowl of rice and some seasoning. Super delicious if done right!
I'm from the uk and no offense this is not what we have to be fare people assume we all eat this and drink tea but we have different snacks guys. Btw you should get them to try real british tea sometime
I am finnish and NEVER in my life have I seen anyone eat those foods on a normal picnic... Please do your research before you claim that these are "picnic foods" Lmao Edit: You really butchered the word Tippaleipä; finnish is a hard language though so no hard feelings
No, youre actually wrong. We have a lot of the same food culture, allthough our pickled herring isnt as sweet as yours and rye originally has been grown in a lager scale in Finland compared to Sweden. Janssons frestelse is definitely Swedish though, even if it is very common and established in Finland too. I got this info from a scientific Finnish podcast called Vetskap (in Swedish).
