celine is just so adorable. she didn't complain at all about using her hands or about the food. she was honestly just happy to be there. I was born and raised in new jersey, and I always ate food that isn't soup or cake with my hands. I never questioned why I didn't use utensils for most of the food I ate because I probably thought that my parents knew what they were doing. my parents are from the dominican republic so idk if they just ate food with there hands in santo domingo or they just dont want more dishes. its kinda hard using utensils at restaurants for me. I don't want people to watch my eat with my hands. seeing celine eat food with her hands with no complaints makes me feel better
i'm actually kinda surprised of the childrens reactions. back when i was a child we used to eat a lot of things (fries, sausages and other stuff) with hands. I mean sure we were told using utensils when we got older but still there was never that kinda "no go" to use hands as well. On the other side we were always told to wash our hands and come to the table with clean hands. So this kinda makes more sense to me. I somehow enjoy seeing asian culture where even curry and rice dishes are eaten with hands. It's not that i don't wanna use a spoon or fork. I just think it's way more relaxed if society wouldn't care so much about HOW you eat but care more about being together and enjoying the actual food. :)
Well, i grew up sleeping on bed lined with strawmat, eating on the ground ( culture thing), eating bugs because we didn’t get meat that often. And my generation was consider the lucky one because we got much more than previous ones. These foods look just fine for me, good variety.
I’m Chinese and I don’t eat with my hands. I grew up with utensils. Not sure why other people are saying it’s disrespectful that they are not used to using their hands for rice and vegetables
I'm Filipino I always eat with my hands it gives the flavor of the food when you're using your hands because the boogers from your nails are in the food
I know this is a joke but this is actually true (in the US i guess??) and people need to know this ‘cause sometimes the food can make you sick and stuff so like if you or a friend ever got sick with school food you’re allowed to report it to some place i forgot (school health centre???) anyways you have the right to do that :p
I taught my child to appreciate food from different cultures and if there's something she cannot eat at all to please let the person know respectfully. Good on Celina for being so respectful with her responses.

Bruh Celine is just so chill and grateful, just with the first prison food one, she was just happy to eat it unlike the others. I was taught to be grateful for me food, some people need to learn that.

King Khari of course they should. I never said they shouldn’t. I never said I exactly agreed with the kid either. But there are plenty of people who don’t think prisoners deserve human rights. For a kid to rationalise that and make a point like he did, he’s above others his age who probably haven’t given the topic second thought.
Jun Posadas dude, I went to a Filipino baby shower and it was so lit! The amount of food was absurd, all the food was amazing, and multiple women kept bringing me more food and trying to get me to eat as much as possible! They taught me how to eat with my hands too. It was awesome!
or potato crisps, sorry chips(British), corn snacks, celery, sandwiches of all kinds, fried chicken wings, spare ribs and sometimes take out fish and chips.

I think all the kids were polite. They asked for the opinions of the children and they gave the honest opinions. Idk why people are taking so poorly about literal 5-8 years olds
