I'm amazed for the 5 y/o boy who fought those robbers to protect his mother.

This kind of crime when a child present should be a child endangerment charge on top of everything else

The last mom is a badass and I really appreciated that she had a lock on her gun, especially with all those kids gun safety is crucial

Why does inside edition always blur the face of people in the process of a crime? These criminals do not deserve this protection. And they have no legal right to protection when they're caught inside someone's house on film

about a year ago i was at my grandmas house watching tv with her when someone opened the door from the side yard and scared me half to death. he walked in with a gun and i was so scared so i went to the bathroom and hid while my grandma called 911. i tried to take my puppy into the bathroom with me but instead he bit the man and chased him down the street. im so thankful im still here

i am so grateful that those men didn’t hurt the 5 year old. breaking and entering is still a crime that should be punished accordingly, but at least they had the decency to leave him unharmed (physically. i’m sure that that boy is going to need counselling down the line, if not now) and that mom was an absolute hero. not only did she protect her children, but she did it calmly took control of the situation. not to mention she had a lock on her gun! i’m personally against having guns in a house with children in it, but having a lock on it is incredible. most people ignore that. and for the most part, it’s fine, but we see people killing their families or other people with firearms in the house way too often. and sometimes you don’t even have to have murderous intent for people to get hurt. my great grandfather and his brother messed around with their parents gun when they were children. his brother ended up accidentally setting it off, and my great grandfather lost one of his eyes because of it. thankfully there wasn’t any damage besides that, but it could’ve gone so much worse. props to that woman for thinking of her children and keeping them safe

Had a friend survive a home invasion as a kid. She was 10 I think. Well, some “friends”of her older brother broke in, thinking the home was empty, because the cars were gone. Well, she was home by herself, watching TV on the couch in the living room, where they broke in through the basement. She started crying when they came upstairs, cuz she was suddenly confronted by 3 dudes in masks, holding weapons. The guys felt really bad, and tried calming her down, and reassured her that they wouldn’t hurt her, but they made her walk into a closet and shut the door behind her with a broom or chair or something, so she couldn’t get out. I think they even gave her a snack first. They stole some stuff, and then told her they were leaving. Her mom came home to find her sitting in the closet. The men were caught very quickly.

I see a common theme here with all these burglaries and that's that most if not all of these people didn't have their doors locked. Like why?

That is the scariest thing for a child to have to go through. And as a gun owner we all can agree is, the last thing any of us want to do is take another life. But as it is said "This house is protected by god and a gun, come in uninvited and you will meet them both ". I will give my life to protect my family and as a mother my protect mode goes in maximum over-drive... Nice job kids! ♥️

Had a lock and the mag out. She's lucky she had time to unlock and load it. A lot of tines you have just seconds. If you're worried about kids getting it,keep it loaded and ready but in a safe that's accessible but has a print scanner on it so it take half a second to open. Poor kids all had to be scared.
