Lost my Dad in 2009 at the age of 87. It's been 15 years and the pain is still as intense as it was then and I know it will always be but I find comfort in being lucky enough to have had him in my life. My protector, my rock, is still with me in my mind and soul and someday I will be with him forever, along with Mom. Ohhhh, how I cherish the memories. RIP Donald Sutherland and know that your son loves you very, very much and so does the rest of the world. My condolences to his family and friends and all who loved him. ♥
Donald Sutherland was a canadian icon and what a tremendous actor he was and his legacy carried down to his son. I lost my dad at age 37 and it’s never easy however the age they are. Beautiful tribute by his son Kiefer. God bless Sutherland family.

Your dad was one of my favorite actors & had one of those “one of a kind” voices that I’ll never forget. I could hear his voice on the TV & know it was him without looking. ❤

My dad turns 80 this year. My mom passed when I was 10. He raised my brother and I by himself. He’s still working full-time. He denies it’s for me, but I know he wants to leave enough money for me to be comfortable because I’m disabled now. He’s diabetic, tired and hurts, but still gets up at 4 am, four days a week to work 11 hour days. I’ve begged him to retire, but he refuses. And honestly, I’m a little worried about him retiring because I’ve seen so many elderly people who go downhill very quickly after retirement. I cry just thinking about losing him. I’m so scared. He is my best friend and the best daddy anyone could ask for. ❤ I just can’t even fathom him being gone. RIP Donald. I’m sure you were as good at being a dad as you were at acting: a top notch, class act. ❤
