Jeff kiesel said that they send one of these to Alan Holdsworth,to test it.He liked so much,that he asked them to put it also on his own sign.model.I think that says all.

Yes, I already confirmed it in the kiesel webpage today. Only 100 dollars more for the 7 string tremolo version. Now I want to see a review of this tremolo, I didn't find any review yet.

You mean besides the one you're watching right now? ;) Because they build-to-order, only a few have made it out into the wild and I know there were some delays in supplier shipments at some point

I've heard the tuning stability is horrendous on these Hipshot headless bridges.

The satin totally is. But I thought it was classier than gloss. It also scratches easily. I'm going with raw tone on my next build.

These are extra options,they call them ''option 50'' and you have to call them in or email,in order to ask,if they will do it.They have done one pickup only guitars or custom controls and wirings,on different models,so I'm sure they could do it on a Vader too.Keep 2 things in mind:1). you will have to pay some extra for these options and 2). you don't get the 10 day-return,if you don't want to keep the guitar.And they do this,because these type of special builds are not easy to re-sell. Usually,you have 10 working days,starting from the day you get your guitar,to test it.If you don't like it,for whatever reason,you can return it,get your money back.Kiesel then does an inspection/ setup and puts these returns up to sale,at a reduced price on their website.

Yeah it doesn't need a locking bridge because it has to have one and there's less failure points with no headstock. I can't comprehend why it wouldn't be as stable as a Floyd and way easier to deal with in every way

One just "rents" a satin finish anyways, unless you play it enough to wear shiny spots. :-p

Better feeling neck in every way. And I like Ibanez a lot.

Gotta get the "thinner neck profile" option though.

Strandburg if you can afford it

I can't chance the strandberg after a lot of contemplating. Idk if I'd like the endur neck. They're really thick from what I hear and all that "optimal hand placement stuff" sounds like bs. That depends completely on exactly what you're playing not just neck position. And they're just too expensive for something made in Korea and no custom options unless you're rich. I still think they look cool as hell and hear they're really nice though.

Agreed. I'm sure it's extra work but I don't see why it's anything more than combining the fixed multiscale bridge with the trem in the computer software and then some slight modifications to the trem cavity possibly.

its because vaders just look like decapitated ibanez", mayones would look the same but they have a little bit of an own touch. strandbergs and ormsby goliaths are the only headless guitars out there with an own and unique design.

I agree. Both of Stradberg's Boden and Varberg's bodies look awesome and are super ergonomic and the Hydra at least looks cool. I like the wooden thing they have at the bottom so the bridge doesn't touch the floor.

I find them all jank looking. The lack of headstocks is just weird to me.

Not that I've got to play any of them, but I've always thought the Vader is a bit of a shallow design. The Strandberg design is totally led by ergonomics - the EndurNeck profile, the different balance of a headless guitar, a body shape designed to sit well in any playing position - whereas the Vader seems a lot like an idea that came from "hey, weird-looking guitars are cool", then taking the nearest super strat over to a bandsaw and chopping it up.

yea, i'm pretty sure that every guitar they have in the "In Stock" page on their website is in the showroom and you can play any of them. I need to stop by again, drive by there every wednesday.

yeah it can take the abuse for sure. works pretty much exactly the same as a floyd except this one is much easier to restring and adjust.

dereksmallsuk They actually really aren't in comparison to other custom company's! Most run $1500 to $2000. But the build quality is off the charts.
