It's cool how perfectly she captures that early 90s dance music, but weird that the video seemingly goes in another direction altogether to have that slightly cheaper 80s(or some might say awesome 80s) look in its clothes, styles, and graffiti. And even weirder still, 116 million hits and the single wasn't even released in that usually crucial American market to get those kind of hits. The bulk of it must be coming from the Austrailian market, and to a lesser degree the UK, and Canada. Having said that, this video is quite impressive.

"Cheaper eighties"? Some people might still complain about 90s clips as trashy or cheesy but I can think of a few "contemporary" ones that are trailer trash by comparison, no matter the budget. The director cast and crew were all remarkable . I love that talent wasn't hidden by using cheesy special affects that are seldom special. the addition of pedestrian traffic , albeit minimal, was subtle but still added an nice layer of "real".

a lot of people think it's a catchy song which is behind the popularity obviously, and she seems like a good person since it's pretty nice she allowed other dancers from NYC to have their talent in a "professional" video that became pretty popular. They looked like they had fun so why be so critical?? I'm not an expert on autotune, and anyone that isn't can't confirm she's using it, but if you support the opinion that electronic music is real music and think "if we enjoy how it sounds, why is it bad for not being made by 'real instruments?'" then that just confirms the fact that it's still music even though it's digital, so I don't see the problem with autotune. what dictates real music? fabricating sound with technology can be music too, just think of the technology used as an instrument. It produces sounds we enjoy. there's no point in taking a step back from an evolutionary step forward

What vibe? The oversaturated colors and cold white temperature are ultrastandard samsung 2010's, there is never any doubt that this is mid 2010s, from 0:01 onwards. Then it goes on with modern choreo that is VERY post 2010; fairly high difficulty with low skill performers and poor execution.
