Kiko Kostadinov Calling Out Other Fashion Designers?

Well, Virgil is a terrible designer.

Kiko kostadinov may very well be one of the best designers of his generation. The exposes or opinions he puts up on his insta might be very bold moves and sometimes a bit to in you’re face but on the other hand he is doing something that a lot of people don’t dare to do in this fucked up fashion world/ scene. He’s voicing his opinion and he s shaking up the fashion world which a lot of people don’t dare to do. Therefore I fully support him.

I love the fact that Kiko is outspoken! Because he says what everyone thinks or what people are unaware of (particularly the younger generation who have all the info at their fingertips but fail to utilise it). Fashion critics haven't been critical in years, so for Kiko to have the minerals to say these things publicly, i applaud him and respect him! When Raf was calling out Abloh, no one really said nothing! The industry needs more Kiko's and less Virgil's. You can finesse the industry but REAL talent outlives it all. I don't believe that Kiko is working with Macintosh anymore.

Designers and all artists a like need to be able to voice their opinions if they feel others are ruining the craft they love. People should be able to take criticism with a bit of emotion and passion. Kiko needs to keep doing what he’s doing so people can loosen up and make fashion a radical and expressive blend of art, culture and design once again.

Thank you for the history on the Macintosh that man is a genius wow, I have your same opinion must be stopped now that we are in the period of cancelled culture is so easy to stop his work as designer and not gain popularity especially from younger audience. And I hate the fact that you have to tell bad things about other designers like he should care more and only about his work

if there can be rap beefs, why not fashion beefs? man can say wtf he wants. i think he's very aware of the effect his comments can have on his brand and doesn't care. he's not trying to appease everyone in this fake ass mindless industry, like some designers.

You talked about kiko posting personal stuff on his main brand ig. I think thats what makes kiko kostadinov so good. He is the boss and controls and organizes his brand himself. He is not just a shithead that tells his employees to do this and that. He is in the middle and does the shit himself. And thats why his output so outrageously gooood! He can create without boundaries. In my opinion thats why some brands are just fucking up stuff. There are many ideas that dont fit together and as a result the creations are just not that good

Whats crazy is that Virgil follows him on IG, but he just seems like a person who does not give a fuck what anyone thinks of his personality or attitude. Will it hurt him? mmmmmm not sure, time will tell. But technicality wise(pattern making and complexity of the garment) he's one of the best which is crazy considering how new he is to the industry

I’m a bit split in this. On one hand, he needs to mature, he’s got to rise above this type of stuff and leave the calling out to accounts like Diet Prada lol. There’s no reason he needs to be doing this, especially on the brands official account. On the other hand, I’m gonna draw a parallel to a young footballer for instance. Kiko seems super passionate about his craft and his work, the way a young baller is just itching to get out there on the pitch. But he doesn’t have his emotions in check yet, and he dives into rash challenges, gets very pushy and fiery very quickly, and he’s probably on a yellow card by now. He’s got two options, he can either learn the hard way, get a red, receive some serious backlash from the industry, or someone needs to tell him to call down. Basically, he’s too inexperienced, and he needs to grow up a bit before he can be considered a leader.

Kiko's habit of calling people out is pretty toxic but I can't say I disagree with what he's saying 🤷‍♂️ in a way its nice to see a real person behind a brand, and that true craftsmanship is appreciated

I haven't come across this designer in the past but after watching your video, I am going to do a bit of research on him! It would be interesting if you could do a video with your thoughts of Kris Van Assche or Yukio Mishiba and their design aesthetic!

I think when designers do this sort of thing,it's a reflection of insecurity.Use this energy to instead build your brand and work on perfecting your craft.

Fashion as an industry is small and trash talking will get him no where. He should remember how Zac Posen trashed Marc Jacobs then NY fashion as a whole and look at his struggles.

I used to enjoy his posts back when he was active on forums. He's always been like that and I don't think he cares. He already has a cult following and I'm sure those people have similar views as him anyways.
