Kili is so handsome and attractive. He managed to wake up love in the elf Tauriel . It is a tragedy that they could not unite as a couple as Kili had to die. Both truly loved each other.

very nice...I was immediately drawn to this unlikely couple. a young, courageous and charismatic dwarf meets a stunning, deadly warrior elf maid. Who could not love that?

***** I do think the purists need to realize that this is meant to be a work of art in its own right, extending Tolkien's reach. Peter Jackson is being respectful of his work, but he has to also play in the world of movies; the romantic interlude adds something that will attract more fans.

Angelwrath1 I think you got it exactly right but don't expect the purists to agree! From most of the posts I've read you can't convince them that even one change is ok! LOL! Changes are made all the time when bringing a book to the big screen! One book = 3 movies, you obviously have add something to make the movies work. I don't believe any of the changes made hurts the spirit of the book!

Great video! I love Kili! Who would have thought a dwarf could be so damn sexy and hot? I love Kili and Tauriel together! They are part of the reason why I love the Hobbit movies so much plus I just love the brotherhood that all these dwarves share with each other!I Peter Jackson is a genius and works his ass off to bring us these movies! Thank you Peter!

i don't think of itvas a love story so much as i think of it as a friendship. legolas and gimli became friends and worked together to mebd the rift between the elves and the dwarves. i think kili and tauriel found common ground thus beginning a wonderful, unlikely friendship :-).

I highly doubt Tauriel's addition will alter the fate of the Durin heirs; alternatively, she'll probably die with Kili. In my opinion, I think that'd be the best direction, despite how tragic it is.

I don't think they can change the story too much. In my opinion they die and Kili-Tauriel both die, or, at least, I hope because I can't imagine Tauriel living and doing nothing during the time of the Lord of the rings... whereas she feels so concerned by Middle Earth

Except if she fought for Thranduil, against Sauron, on the other side of Middle Earth but I think she would have followed Legolas in the Fellowship if she had been able to do it...

Well, there's a theory that after Kili dies, Tauriel will die of a broken heart. Personally, I think that would be a very powerful moment for all of them--Legolas included. Sad, but I personally like this theory.
