Very nice! My late father gifted me a book many years ago (also written by Colonel Rex Applegate), "Crowd and Riot Control". By far my most treasured and most read book.
hey mate, the original print date of this was 1943. Paladin reprinted in 76 after the marine corp did. This was a ww2 training manual for special ops (OSS), if i recall correctly. he trained under FAIRBAIRN, and mixed his police background with other operators he met during OSS time. He was even the bodyguard to a president at one point, and taught the mexican military. This was high tech for its time. still works for dirty fightn and combat toolbag.
Col. Applegate is the greatest Oregon Duck of all time. Along with combat knowledge the man also helped design, build and at one point run the School For Spies And Assassins or what we now call Camp David. Rex was also a bodyguard for FDR etc etc… amazing person.
