The Knux Smash ability can only target operatives within engagement range, so you cannot move-smash-charge (since you cant end a move in engagement range). You can charge-smash-charge
I'm just looking forward for my Night Lords to come! Never thought they'd get dedicated, so it's exciting to see my favourite subfaction get love by GW.
I play VetGuard and warpcoven, mostly warpcoven. The changes on the demoman was long overdue, i'm not mad for that. I am super happy that my egiptian themed space wizards got buffed. Tzaangors were super useful, now they can tank 2 normal hits from a chainsword and even a super crit from a khorne butcher legionary....plus....9, the number of the changer of ways. overall, this is the best dataslate to date.
@@Crushanator1 that's not Tyranids, that's more of a genestealer cult than Tyranids. However they needed an actual bespoke mini based team and not a white dwarf. I hope admech, nids, grey knights, golden bananas, daemons and finally those clown elves get bespoke teams that are not white dwarfs.
I'm sad about loosing fly, but mostly because I now need to spend way more time thinking and measuring during movement. Harlequins felt so effortless to play before
I'm disappointed that the unique aspects of BD didn't pan out as good for the game. In my limited experience jump tests were interesting as was the obscuring rule, but I can see how they substantially benefited a limited number of teams. If your team has the mobility or special rules to completely negate a limiting factor it doesn't make for a competitive matchup.
i kind of thought the Obscuring rule was supposed to be an intentional sort of seasonal buff to Mobility and "Vision" teams. In the way that Into The Dark would work to favor certain weapons and units over very long range shooting. Ah well. Im behind on painting the Phobos Team i started converting to Deathwatch when BD came out, no idea if theyll be relevant or if ill just give Justian a shot.
I think over all the changes are fine with a few exceptions: -Vet guard demo got way too nerfed. Now it is the worst bomb in the game in every aspect, that you need to set a combo to be able to use it. High risk no reward basically. -I feel like Fellgor Ravagers are going to be super weak because of the lack of warpaint
1000% agree, from yesterday i dispase the GW, idiots can only nerf stuff witout thinking, tell me any strong streights of veteran guardsman from now on, decent plasma, good sniper and decent melta gun. Thats FUCKING ALL! our operatives are only7W and 3x5+ dices on def. Fuck that GW.
Brainless, 11 inch threat range model that can threaten the whole board, can shoot through walls, blows its mine immediately with 3 apl, has absurd 3 inch blast. It's still the only bomb that can be planted and detonated in one activation. Still powerfull, but not so toxic anymore. Good riddance.
@@Klierowski 12 activations, 14 bodies, GA2 for loot. 2 plasmas, best sniper, best melta when comboed with confidant, demoman, grenade launcher on top of that, 7 inches of movement, team wide dash. Best gunners among every other shooty horde team, when we take team wide ceasless into account, they're basically shooting at 3+. Initiative reroll for 3EP. Just a scratch for 3EP. The single best ploy in the game IDA. They're still S tier, or at least top of A tier. Just not as toxic as they were at high level.
I feel like the charge, knux smash into knux smash may not work. Unless you have 3 apl, since there is the charge 1, the knux smash 1, then knux smash again 1. Although normal move into knux smash charge would work I'd say, maybe a knux smash back to back as well?
HA, nah. As a vetguard player, this was long overdue. turn 1 you can put the spotter and sniper behind a barricade in vantage and it was gg for the enemy. Plus the demo's ability to kill operatives behind heavy terrain was really powerful. The solution? change the spotter for the zealot, you're welcome
Vet Guard were podiuming and winning way more often than they "should" have based on the player numbers using them in events. John at Can You Roll A Crit has been posting those videos for years, Vet Guard and Kommandos have really consistently have a relatively low participant count with very high podium and win rates.
