The ego is nothing but an illusion of our separation from each other and from the Spirit, and you definitely shouldn't let it be in charge of your decisions, at the very least.

Heutzutage sind Menschen deutlich traumatisierter (Internet, Socialmedia) und fügen sich unnötig Leid zu - deshalb sind solche Konversationen echt wichtig!
no need to compare yourself to others, really. Ask yourself what's important in life.. is it really being "hot" to the most people? Or something deeper, maybe joy and happiness regardless of how you look? I think maybe you see "hot" people making these videos because they get to the top, called "hot" by many people only to realize its shallow and brings no deep lasting happiness. Often the most attractive people are the most insecure.
real Peace and fulfilment does not come from „looking good“. I bet there are millions of people out there, who consider themselfs as someone who is „not good looking“ but live in way more peace than me. Also looks are always temporary and can Never be for ever or consistent. „Looking good“ can never bring anyone peace and promises more than it ever can bring. There are alway people who wont find you good looking and you will always have days, where you look different. The value of „good Looks“ are overdone by modern Society in my opinion.
I've realised that before. I find that letting myself feel the highs of an ego while being fully self-aware of it and ready to intervene is fine. In the same way that I let myself be sad or angry to music sometimes because it feels good. Or let myself feel good when I'm beating someone in a game.
