What kinda judge awards custody to a parent thats been absent for 6 years without even informing the other parent. Still doesn't deserve to be murdered but that judge is ignorant for sure. You are hearing the story only from the dad's mother, and his lawyer. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle. When men go off to the service for a couple of years no one bats an eye. If she didn't care for her kid, why would she want the child back? Chad may have had something in his past, like an arrest maybe? It would be highly unusual for her to get custody if this was a stable loving household, with a biomom, who was some awful person, who get the child. The mom and Chad's attorney are the only ones saying terrible things about Ashley.

The mother in law said that erika said she didn't know who the dad was of her baby because she was "DRUNK and picked up guys" then the truth came out. On trial her attorney questioned her mother in law regarding the shots as if erika blamed her confession on her getting drunk by her mother in law to get her to say something she didn't want to. I imagine it something like 'i didn't want to say that but she got me drunk and made me say that' just like she says in the recording "i did what he told me to do, to make the call and order pizza. Lol, I bet she wishes she hadn't cut the grandmother out now. If she'd pretended to be faithful for a little longer and let the kids see their grandmother, she'd still be on the outside. If I took the rap for someone and they built a family with someone else in my house, it wouldn't have taken 8 years. More like 8 minutes! 😂

I would not call it revenge. It is coming to your senses. Chad has NOTHING to gain here. He protected Erica before. It had been 8 years in Prison. He knew she took part and was to be in custody as well. His sentence isn't reduced, his mother doesn't have any benefit...Erica deserves to be in prison.

Law&Crime, do some more digging on this one--the custody testimony is one sided and Ohio doesn't just make decisions on behalf of an absent mom. If dude was capable of murder, "losing his daughter" didn't push him to killing.

The bias against fathers in cases regarding their children is insane. If he had been M.I.A for 6 years he wouldn’t be able to just walk in and get full custody. Not only is it wrong to him who’s been there all this time, but could be very uncomfortable for the child as well. What was this judge thinking!?

I'm actually flabbergasted that a judge would sign off on a 6 year old going with a stranger and how they were even able to set up that court date without letting Chad know??? I actually don't think he did anything wrong. When the system fails people they get desperate, deranged, overwhelmed, and feel like they've ran out of options. I blame the courts. That child must have been TERRIFIED and Ashley clearly dgaf about her daughter to see her crying and STILL want to force her to go with her.

Chad is a manipulative scheming murderer. I'm just so sorry for their daughter.

This murder would of never happened if the judge didnt force a child to go.with a mother she didnt know. Theyre could of been a reintroduction of parenting with fathers help. Visitations could be set. And this fanily learning to parent. The abduction of his daughter triggered this.

The loss of custody just triggered two already weak individuals who were susceptible to committing crime when given the opportunity. The step mom quite literally abused the daughter, so why was she so quick to jump on the plan of murdering Ashley over custody of a daughter she didn’t even care for? Sounds like she was just a bored and wanting to act on her sick fantasies honestly
@deltalimabravo6727
@deltalimabravo6727 21 день назад
She was no Mother, zero excuses for what either of them did, but the woman was more about herself than her daughter. Not because of who she wanted to be in a relationship with or not, not because she joined the military, etc. only because she chose not to put any effort into knowing how her daughter was doing or attempt to. Whether that was entirely true or not, the courts allowing her to essentially abduct and traumatize a daughter she supposedly cared about with no regard to anyone or anything else whatsoever is quite sufficient in forming my opinion. He wasn’t justified in what he did, but as a Mom I would not put my wants and needs above my child’s no matter what their Dad was like. I’m not suggesting I know the whole story, just her character as a person is fairly and completely linked to her treatment of her daughter. My heart breaks only for the innocent child who had no control over any of this. So sad.

I don't understand how the courts just award full custody to the bio mom considering the circumstances. They obviously didn't factor in what was in the best interest of the child who had been raised by her bio dad and step-mom for 6 years along with siblings. Absolutely ridiculous decision but in saying that, no excuse for murderering the mother. It just seems like such poor decision making of the courts, especially when the daughter has no relationship with the bio mom and she is basically a stranger. Yes, the mom should be in her life but that should have been a gradual process where both parties could have shared in raising her. Seems absolutely ridiculous to me unless we aren't hearing the full story?
