The reasons why KI so Underrated is because of Capcom and the the negative gamers still have for the Xbox one, 1) Capcom has SF and they throw alot of money to their SF tournaments so the Pros go where the most amount of money is, 2) Xbox hate is still out there and KI is Microsoft fighter so it doesn't get the attention it deserves, the release on PC came a little late it should have release on day one back in 2013, let's be honest if KI was exclusive for the Nintendo or PlayStation everyone and their mother would be playing it.
Hopefully Microsoft commits to KI just like they did to Halo, Gears of War and Forza and creates a dedicated studio for KI or even go the extra mile and buy out Iron Galaxy, there are rumors there's a sequel to KI already in the works, but for now we just have to play the waiting game.

@@davidalfonso1939 I hope Iron Galaxy makes it again, and they make it as fun as the 2013 edition, cause they really did an amazing job on this game. A lot of people said it wasn't good cause it wasn't like the old arcade one, but this is one of my favorite 2D fighters, moreso than SFV honestly. The defensive options are awesome, like the C-c-c-combo Breaker/ C-c-c-counter Breaker, I love the characters and the music, especially the Ultra Combos. Can you imagine if this was like a test project like Injustice 1, and then KI 2 got a sequel with hi-def models and environments, kept lots of the same elements and stuff? I'd be jealous if it wasn't released on PS, I'd need a gaming laptop for the PC edition lol
I see a lot of sad comments, and I agree that this game is super underrated. But also we should be happy that it keeps getting tournaments and combo breaker 2019 sold out! I think this game is gonna get a surge of attention in the next 5 years and at the very least the dedicated players won't let it die!
Thank goodness there are still dedicated people that still play and praise this game. Too bad the community now is garbage! I praise Iron Galaxy for their amazing efforts to make a great game even better!

PC winstore or xbox .. can also get it over steam but with steam it has no crossplay for ranked for some silly reason .. also steam version does not have the free characterrotation the other 2 versions have ..
His match against Waterhorses was just a huge slog. I've been binging KI tournaments in the last two days and that was the most boring match I've seen. They both spent the majority of the match zoning with fireballs/hail from a distance and all the dropped combos/missed punishes and whatnot was not indicative of a high level of KI expertise. Basically, it looked like a Pools match and not a Top 4 Finals match. I understand that they're both very cautious players, so a slow match was to be expected. In his first (in the video) match against Nicky, the announcers seemed to be perturbed by the way Mira's low dive move isn't actually a low and how that interaction played out, but didn't seem to angry about the win. Same with the second tbh. Maybe they just don't like Jago. Either way, Thompxson doesn't deserve hate.
Oh! It's Combo Breaker 2019! Hell yeah, I watched this yesterday. What a great tournament all around. Amazing performances from everyone, especially Wheels, ValorAxe, and Nicky.
Ultra refers to an attack that is basically an autocombo that kills a low health opponent. Since it's a tournament, most just do the finisher immediately to end it and go to the next match.
It is a MUST at this point that KI gets a polish like MK11! This game's title is KILLER INSTINCT, how do you have the word 'Killer' in the name of the franchise and not have blood or gore.
Killer Instinct was never a violent game, it had goofy finishers back in the original ones but it never took it seriously, it was never about violence, it's always been and will be about combos and a crazy cast of characters, I do agree with a polish to the game, at this point it needs it, hopefully a new game will get it done, if we do get a season 4 the game will needs a massive overhaul on the texture department all characters and stages will need an upgrade to keep up with current fighting games.

Nicky is a good player but he is a bad decisions maker, mainly in the last moments. I like Bass more because of his way of playing, even when he is a bar behind the opponent.
You should watch the Combo Breaker 2019 KI Top 8. Nicky was on top of his game for that tournament. Literally all of his matches were just brutal. But I agree. He made a lot of bad decisions in this tournament (not the least of which being playing Mira against Jago). He's still an absolutely phenomenal player, though.
Only hardcore players can excel in KI, as you need to know your opponent's moves to successfully break them. MK and SF are for noobs as you just need to know your character's moves only.
PridedWaif I gave this game 2 chances. In both I completed the Dojo missions, every single one of them. Everything makes sense and it feels good. Then I play another games, etc ... if I don’t play KI for 2 days I feel like a newbie again, I forget everything. The system is too overwhelming and it is only rewarding for people who are willing to be slaves of this game every day of their lives.
Your not putting enough effort in then. While the game mechanics to me are quite simple, combo breaking and counter breaking are hard to master. The more you play the better you will get. This game hands down destroys any other fighting game when it comes to mechanics. Sfv, Injustice, maybe not tekken but it's a very solid fighter. Let's hope for a sequel.
Pedro Paliz I’ve played almost every fighting game since 2009, and I can def say Killer Instinct is on the easier side. If you’re new to fighting games, then getting into the genre is hard for sure. Otherwise tho, it sounds like you’re overthinking the systems.
