I remember I was like 8 years old just mashing buttons when all of a sudden my character started doing a 25+ move combo! I had no idea what I was doing and I was trying to wake my bro at the same time to get a witness. To this day I still remember the computer going ULTRA, ULTRA, ULTRA!!! Best day of my life.
Yeah, but it's vastly underrated. Back then, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter were the fighting games that kids played and moral guardians freaked out over due to the violence. Killer Instinct was probably written off as a clone and not considered worthy.

Awesome!!! These combinations were so hard to learn. I did miss Eyedol though. Hooves as feet and two heads. Ultimate end boss. I remember being able to play him if you entered the code when the level was loading. You heard a whispering voice say 'Eyedol' and then you're buddy got mad at you. Nooooo we promised no more Eyedol 😂😂😂😁😁😁
I didn'tknew you can do the ultimate combos, I've done it as Danger moves all this years... plus there is missing an ultimate finisher with Fulgore that activates with "←↙↓↘→ + HK"

I remember once I did the 50 hit Spinal Ultra. It was sick! There were a lot of things coming out of his shield, I think there were dragons as well. I love this game
This was when the combo system became innate with the system of synonyms I was using; Ultra will always be top tier below Mega (Digimon), below UItimate, below Champion, below Super, below various others. Always strive for Ultra.
