I’m glad the developers took a leap of faith and did something different. You would expect a slasher like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, or even The Thing. But never would I expect or anyone expect Killer Clowns from Outer Space, a clsssic that I remember rewinding on the VCR to be made into a game. Damn I’m so excited!

The in game microphone aspect is I think is the most exciting thing, at least for me. Seems like it'll be really innovative and can lead to some real fun gameplay stuff.

Oh yeah 100%. I'm excited to see how it all works! I was in a world in VRChat where you could be these goofy lil alien creatures with long noses, and when you are in them, you can only understand each other that are the aliens, and everyone else, all they hear is "Boop-Beep". And we had a ton of fun in them!

Y'know what would be cool for the proximity chat? I remember one scene from the movie where one of the clowns uses a dead body as a ventriloquist's dummy in order to speak with one of the characters. Maybe if you kill someone you could lug their corpse around for a minute or two and have the human players be able to understand you? There wouldn't be any practical application that I can think of but it would be a hilarious way of delivering critical levels of shit-talking.

Oh that would be hilarious and kinda scary. Like you're running around, you do what you need to do, you're looking for your partner who was just behind you and suddenly you hear a voice that isn't one you recognise and one of two things: -You go to check it out, only to find the killer klown has the body of your partner, the player of that klown speaking to you. -You realize the klown got your buddy and is nearby enough to hear you ask who that voice was.

Don't know why but I have a fear of clowns with the exception of this movie. Maybe its because they really are aliens and not clowns but I seriously can't wait for this game to come out. Thanks for the video Laphin, tweeted and shared this to other social medias for others to watch.

Well the microphone thing makes perfect sense. I think it would be great for the people to play as clowns get to be heard speaking gibberish when in reality they are actually players talking English

I’m glad the Killer Klowns fans are getting some new stuff for their franchise finally. I’m very happy all the horror film based games coming out. I personally loved the Evil Dead game, and I believe the horror element was there. But I also think the creep factor is more bendable because the later films were more into horror action comedy. So it actually to me being a big fan of the franchise I thought it nailed the films, and I thought the atmosphere was perfect. My only real little nitpick is Evil Dead 2 Ash not missing his hand, but hey, again, thats a nitpick to me because the overall game feels great to me. But I am very happy for all the Killer Klowns people getting their game, and hopefully a sequel some time soon cause its long overdue.

Also, Ash - like Bruce Campbell - should be left-handed. He holds a single-shot 20-gauge shotgun right-handed in 'The Evil Dead', but it's common for southpaws to learn to do certain things ambidextrously. Fun fact: Bruce Willis is also left-handed. Are all actors named "Bruce" left-handed? Is Bruce Dern left-handed?

it could be possible in the future that they could add more Klowns to the rooster, i mean they did have a bunch of them in the movie. Like Slim and his shadow puppets or the insane high jumps he pulls off in the movie. could be interesting to have him be able to just do a "Oh s!!!" jump away or catching someone unaware by jumping close to them to close to gap or ambushing that way

I hope we get the female killer Clowns added as DLC . Also add Shorty he's the most iconic killer clown and if they can add his tricycle perhaps and his boxing gloves attack . Slim can also return with his jumping ability, maybe he can have the shadow puppet ability as well, DLC maps I think they will include, the base game will have at least 4 below : Town : Funfair : Woods / Makeout Point : Cove DLC : High School : camp site : police Station : Theme Park , Pirates Cove :

Shorty and his tri-cycle have been confirmed in the game! The boxing gloves are shown in the video! I'm not sure about Slim yet, but the devs have definitely seen that people want the shadow puppets. The hard thing is.. is how do you do shadow puppets in a video game. This is a big challenge presented to them, because honestly. There's no way to make shadows interact with player avatars. It would take some kind of wizard programmer to make that work.

Oh man clowns have an affect on people. I knew a girl at Universal Studios who worked with me AS A SCAREACTOR (or performer) in the event. And even tho she was there to scare people, she absolutely HATED clowns, and so when Jack The Clown came back into out trailer, she would literally scream and run away from him, and she'd get hysterical over him, it was hilllarious!! I can't wait to see what kind of impact this game has on people. But no, female clowns are big on everyone's list.. you're not the only one to mention it. I'm sure they'll be adding femme clowns in the game, maybe not at launch, but down the road, I'm sure!

Here's another crazy thought. What if they made it where when you're a Klown, you can get a hold of a human and use them to speak so the other human players can understand you? It's exactly what happened in the film when Jumbo did it to the cop.

It's such a good idea to get away from the 1 vs many style game with being a squad of clowns instead of one clown. I'm gonna be excited to scare people. I also hope we can customize the clown sounds. A good feature would be, being able speak in the voice customization and then it spits back the clown speak so you can hear what it sounds like.

Sometimes, in a very magical moment, Evil Dead can be creepy, but not in the way that it should be. It focuses more on the way the TV show felt, which is fine, but I wish they would have injected some of the suspense from the movies as well, and it really doesn't deliver those kinds of feelings. It's not a bad game... it's very impressive. It just leaves out key ingredients.

Dude, I seriously love your channel. You don't beat around the bush and get straight to the point. I've seen several other guys trying to be funny and constantly babble about nothing. This movie is awesome and is a cult classic. I just ordered my popcorn gun yesterday and I'm stoked. Thank you for not babbling like the other guys. Good footage and gets straight to the point. Popcorn was clown larvae in the movie you can see them progress in growth first crawling on the bathroom floor then partially grown in the hamper. All I gotta say is man that would've been a lot of clowns

I really wish my brother was still alive to see my dream of this movie turning into a video game become a reality! I always hoped one day someone out there who truly appreciated this crazy clown movie, would actually turn this into an amazing game. After he passed away, I put up the controller and never played again because it was our favorite thing to do together. 😕 Now I am thinking maybe this is a sign to give it a try again, even though it’s been 15+ years since I last played. 🤔 I have been watching this film for over 30 years and even introduced it to my own children and they love it. Awwww, I hear ya.. don't feel bad, I'm right there with ya. A lot of my family is gone now too, and my younger brother, he doesn't speak to me anymore, we lead very different lives than we did when we were kids, and it's just not the same anymore. That's why a lot of you guys out there on the inernet that are very involved with the communities, like these, will be my family now for when we all get to enjoy games like this together. It's a different time.. but, new memories will be made with new people, and I'm okay with that.

Since the Chiodos reused the clown masks for Earnest Scared Stupid, it would be cool if there was a reskinned troll mode where you have to hunt down milk as ammo against them. I know it won't happen though, because I think Disney owns Scared Stupid.

there's toxic people in everything unfortunately. it's important to not take it so serious and just have a blast with what you get, and it'll be fun for everyone. I can see this being a great time for klown players and human players defiantly if everyone goes in it to have fun with the craziness of it all.

The thing about the evil dead game being action/comedy is that the franchise slowly went from horror to a comedy so that’s probably why it is the way it is now. Most ppl especially playing the game only know evil dead 2 and later installments but i agree it should have a lil bit more of creep factor in it lolz

I tried to sign up to be a beta tester for the game but they never got back to me. I really was looking forward to giving the game a try. Killer Klowns is one of my favorite movies and when I saw that they were making a game I almost had a heart attack.

I really just grew up with this movie, it was honestly amazing there were other movies like snakes on a plane, titanaboa vs anacoda or something like that and a movie called prey or evolve I think but this movie not only stuck me with fear but made me a horror movie fan forever! i hope we get a killer klowns from outer space 2!

I think the in game microphone is a good idea. Like I always loved how Friday The 13th did it(and how other horror multiplayer games should) where you can hear someone who is up close but if they are far away, you can only hear them if they have a walkie talkie.

One of my favorite Halloween horror movies growing up, I love that it’s making a comeback

I would’ve loved last year Afterdark/the nightmare I wish we got the suburban map because it looked interesting and the mall map. I would love a high school and college map definitely a bar one too along with a mall, underground subway, hospital, graveyard, store. I just hope the dog is the only way to track down civilians or just by listening to them and no type of scratch mark tracking like dbd does because that gets annoying when you out play a killer and all they gotta do is follow your scratch marks. I also hope the hit boxes don’t be fucked up too because I hate it when a hit that shouldn’t have touched you ends up hitting you.

Great overview..but I gotta say it was pretty funny that during the discussion of how the Klowns don't speak any English you chose the scene from the film with Shorty in the alleyway where he clearly says "Put up your dukes, put up your dukes," in English to the biker before knocking his head off. Lmfao

Those suburban neighborhoods are ...... not very well done and resemble crack houses, they don't look lived in and don't resemble a living breathing neighborhood.

That's because all maps in DbD are rough memories of the characters twisted by the Entity's will. They're SUPPOSED to look dead. You're just nitpicking

@@Laphin Imagine he spawns as the final boss after you kill the clowns for the last time. You have to kill him or escape the area before he gets you. Maybe the best preforming clown gets to play as him? I dont know I'm just spit balling

It sounds like the klowns are understandable but it’s very minuscule, hopefully the game will put klown voices through a filter for the humans instead of having prerecorded lines

We'll have to see how they do it. It's probably going to be some kind of pre-recorded jibberish, with each clown sounding different so then survivors can tell which clown is close to them.

For me, one of the best scenes in the movie is when one of the Klowns tries to lure the little girl out of the restaurant, only for her mother to pull her back inside.
