Dr. Dick Gregory told the truth. He was such a Diamond in our Community. I've seen and worked with him numerous times and he has always been informative and hilarious in the same breath. We Miss, Love and honor to the Ancestor.
Killer Mike is an incredible person. His intelligence, and flawless delivery of his thoughts are unparalleled. Not too shabby as a rapper either. But he is a true leader.
I know someone who's related to him and I've had an opportunity to have a conversation with him for several hours. I asked him a question and yes got the same reaction. Yes he cursed me the fvck out but it was one of my greatest experiences in life... I was honored. I was prepared because I grew with a dad that'll air anybody out.

I was stoked when he was scheduled to come to my city. I wanted to meet him and ask him some advice. Even at the risk pf getting cussed out (which he surely would have.) But he passed away before I got a chance to see him.
Here's the thing no one seems to realize about a march or a protest, if you will. The people being protested against DO NOT CARE that you are in the street, holding a piece of cardboard with catch phrases of the day written on them. Do you really think that yelling in the street moves them to make change?

At first he didn’t cooperate on Phil case until he got caught on up on the gun charge. With 3 mil on the line and his freedom he cooperated. It don’t matter if u didn’t give names, u still was in the side of the prosecution. He said on the breakfast club Phil’s mom and his aunt wanted him to show up to court. Then he was on a 1-800 tip commercial. TI said back in January on the breakfast club he stick to G code. Nun G about giving testimony on a murder trail . Unless it’s on the half of defense.

That was a close one...for a minute there, I was thinking I was about to hear Killer Mike disrespect Mr. Gregory...which, JUST CAN'T HAPPEN, and, certainly would have changed my perception of Mike, going forward. Thank goodness, it, like so many other encounters that Dick Gregory had with folks, was just Dick Gregory being Dick Gregory, passing on the knowledge, based on experience, in such a way that you were damn sure going to hear it, and, remember it gratefully. I, once, back in the late 80's or so, got to spend about six hours, sitting amongst a living-room full of about 6-7 adults (I was in my mid-20s, my uncle, Mr. Gregory and the others, were truly my elders), after Mr. Gregory had done the graduation speech at Booker T. Washington High School, in Tulsa, OK. Mr. Gregory had an early flight, and, everyone just stayed up all night, talking....well, THEM talking, me, listening, in awe of the wisdom, history, power, Black MEN, in that room. He leaves an impression...I SO thank God for having been exposed to, having felt the realness of a Mr. Dick Gregory.
You need to do an interview with casanova2x . He spent 3 years in solitary confinement 10 years in prison and jail and had completely turned his life around is his career is taking off. He has spoken a little on it but you would be able to really get deep into his story.
