Queen Elizabeth was actually not honouring her late mother's wish.. she had given Billy a house.. and Queen Elizabeth did throw him out when, her mother died....
Her stay in Windsor may have been shorter than originally thought, yet at the same time, it did give an extended grieving period for the transition of losing her best friend.
@@saschastolz61 because it was false information. I've not enjoyed people slating the King for something he hasn't done - I don't think that's ethical. I'm not happy for his record so far in his role but I don't think it's right to be nasty when it's untrue. If you think that's trolling, there's something very wrong with you
@@maggiemontgomery8400 it's not my ordinary read but I heard there was a change in story so I checked it out. Only looking at one point of view is what is wrong with society and the division of everyone. I don't agree with much of the political left or right but I challenge myself every day to question my beliefs, its not easy but i feel its important to not be part of the horrible antagonism and group think. What do you do to not fall prey to extremist ideology from the far left or far right?
Of course she had to leave the castle. She was not pushed out its been eight months since the queen died. The king has bought her a house where she wanted to live. Near her family. Please stop knocking the king. Give this dear man a chance.
The grace and favour system was the pension plan for old retainers before the National Insurance system came into being. Miss Kelly has not been cast off destitute, I'm sure. I read that she has moved North to near where her family live instead of being stuck, all alone, away from them. I'm sure that the King would have aided her in this, having been given time to grieve and sort her head out.
I believe no place was named only that she had a home for her lifetime and her new home looks beautiful and is in Yorkshire obviously where she has connections. Much ado about nothing as they say.
I agree. Nearly 5 years ago I lost my dad and I won't go in his street where he lived as can't get my head around someone else living in his home where lived for over 50 years 😢
This story has made me sad. I'm glad to know the truth. I wish Ms. Kelly nothing but the best, for her sake and for the memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
I think it is going to be a wonderful new chapter in life for Angela. What an amazing 30 years she had. She even has her own Megan story about "Tiaragate."
Yes, a nice win/win all round --- I'm sure she wouldn't want to be hanging around Windsor Castle where she knows her best days are behind her. Hope she's happy in her new place.
@@mindyrolston3915 It has already been revealed that the King has bought her a house-where she wanted, near her family. You have missed all the information. She was NOT evicted. Far from it!
Angela Kelly was taken care of by King Charles and she needs to retire after a great long career. A house bought by the king is a great pension. Best of luck to Ms Kelly
Hi Neil 👋👋👋👋👋👋🇦🇺🇦🇺thank you ,appreciate your true reporting. Angela Kellly imo has learn a lot from our late HMTQ, she will grieve in her own way and move on gracefully. All the very best Ms kelly.
@@judytreischl6899 It is reported in the Daily Mail that King Charles has gifted Angels Kelly a house in Yorkshire. It was done privately and the media needs to back off with speculation.
@@judytreischl6899 MailOnline, article dated 29th April 2023, written by Kate Mansey and Melody Fletcher, entitled "King Charles has secretly gifted the late Queen's dresser Angela Kelly a new home to honour a promise made by his mother". It comes up immediately if you do a search.
Angela Kelly was a wonderful friend and companion to our late Majesty the Queen. I understood she has bought a house in the North of England and is quite happy in her retirement but I now see that King Charles actually purchased the house for her. Im sure she is very happy to be near her family and King Charles has fulfilled his obligation to Angela and his mother our Kate Queen. 👏👏
@@BackToNature123 Yes, so I understand. “A source close to the Palace said that Ms Kelly had been gifted a new home, believed to be near Guiseley in Yorkshire. It is thought that the King has bought the property, which will revert to the Crown on her death.”
@@yorkshiregal Well, that seems very fair. It's reasonable that Ms. Kelly should be able to choose where she wished to live, for her retirement. No doubt Windsor would be lonely for her, without the Queen.
To other people, she has lost everything, her best friend, her home, her place in the Royal Household, her work and the people who worked alongside and for her, her routine, it's a huge set of upheavals. I am glad her new chapter is opening up beautifully for her, she will always be loved, here, 'our lass' and we are very proud of her. It would be lovely to see her on our screens in her own right, goodness knows she has earned it.
Whatever anyone says about Angela Kelly, she was loyal to our dear majesty Queen Elizabeth right to the end. She also made the Queen look fabulous in all those original dresses and outfits she made for our dear Queen. I also think she protected the Queen from some of the evil machinations of Me-gain. I hope she writes a book and reveals the nasty things Me-Gain did to our dear Queen.
Besides being a friend, Angela's main role was to design/select and help the Queen with her wardrobe and dressing. So obviously Angela is no longer needed in that capacity. However, since the Queen gave Angela a grace and favour accommodation, it would have been kind to extend that to Angela for as long as she wanted. After all the King has oodles of homes and places for such use.
I'm sure the King made sure that Angela was well taken care of. She does have her own family as well. She's also going to the coronation. Much love to Angela ❤️
The King is not a cruel or unfeeling person - if he was he'd be far stricter with his younger son. Ms Kelly has been provided with a house - the fact that its not in Windsor may be because that's not near her family.
From reading the comments below, seems King Charles III met the grace and favour commitment by buying Angela a home for herself. I'm elderly now. Not one of the corporates I worked for bought me a house :), not that I was expecting one. It's always tough getting older, losing loved ones. From all reports, Angela has enough backbone to build herself a new life in her new home. All the best, Angela!
neil. if it;s ministers that keep telling Charles to 'cut costs' then He should point out that the revenue from the Crown estates far exceeds the costs of the sovereigns grant so miserly given about a year behind. There is also the revenue that comes in from the RF and that from clothing worn by the Royal Wives and children. The cost of the security for for the monrachy is nowhere near the cost of that for ministers and the so-called mayor of London who has 15 security staff for his protection. If the gvt thinks that money should be saved, then stop the subsidies on meals/drinks to MPs and Lords and have it for the necessary staff (cleaners/security) and also stop paying outlandish expenses that are NOT part of MPS salaries and stop thenm having expenses that they have claimed that aren't claimable (anyone one else trying to claim money they aren't entitled to would be up on charges). These things are NOT a perk. Angela Kelly did so much for Her Majesty and Charles should stop listening to the whiners and moaners and use hi s common sense and decency.
Indeed-and what was the cost to the taxpayer of Sunak's "motorcade" with 100 Police Officers running and cycling around his car? The RF costs each person in the UK slightly less than £2 - a YEAR!
Another lovely, truth filled report from you Neil,. I have an enormous amount of gratitude to, and a heart of love for, Angel Kelly. She cared for, cared about, loved and respected to the nth degree, our late and beautiful Queen Elizabeth. I'm filled with gratitude that Her late Majesty had someone who was by her side for many many years, and was so loved by the Queen that she had Angel moved to an adjoining living space, so that she was always there whenever needed. They watched TV together and chatted as friends do, about many things. Angela will grieve for the loss of her friend for a very long time. One doesn't get over the loss of a friend of SO many years. One comes to accept that that person isn't physically there in our world anymore, but one never stops grieving the loss. Thank you for this report Neil. With all the rubbish 'sensationalised' by the newspapers today, it's good to know that you're always there with the honest truth about things. Bless your heart. Thank you my favourite reporter. ~ Cobs (GB)
Maybe that is why our queen Elizabeth lived to such a good age because she had Angela as a friend. She once told Angela they were like sisters & I think it was a lovely relationship for both of them. Angela always made the Queen look really good in her outfits & to know they were good friends is really nice. That was the icing on the cake.
I remember backstairs Billy, the queen mum’s butler. He came from Coventry and I met him once. Came to a bad end, unfortunately. As for Angela King, I understood that HM The King bought her a house to retire to. This is not uncommon. I remember the kidnap attempt in The Mall on Princess Anne. The chap who helped save her received the George medal and HM The Queen paid off his mortgage as a big thank you to him. Things go on behind the scenes that are marvellous. Wouldn’t trade our Royal Family for anything. As always, when you know more, we'll know more. Love it Neil.
Thank you Neil! It's good to hear about Angela again. I have just read her second book, "The other side of the coin" - Revised and Updated version, which is facinating. A no-nonsense lady of inherent, innate gifting, devotion to duty and dedication to Queen Elizabeth II, and I can now see why she formed such a close relationship with our late Monarch. I'll bet she had Prince Philip's respect too, they had very similar temperaments. I can also see why she would have bridled against the behaviour of the former royal and his upstart partner! It's no secret that many, if not most of the properties on the Windsor Estate are in great need of rennovation and upgrading and from the way her children and grandchildren describe the cottage she was in (with great love and appreciation I have to say), I'm sure that too needed a lot of attention. I think this new move would have been discussed with our late Queen and agreed to. People are so quick to cast aspersion and suspicion without any insight or knowledge of facts to form opinion by!
I really like King Charles he is a really good man & remember when someone writes something it could be anything as small as a comma or full stop in the wrong place or a simple s at the end of a sentence & it changes absolutely everything, it makes things out to be so wrong, so before condemnation for His Majesty check & check once more, God Save The King, Long Live The King
Good day Neil 🇬🇧 I think King Charles is whittling down the monarchy too much. Just like old school actors that we love to follow and stinker teeth into, he is cutting out too many potential stars and characters that could help bring abundance to England and the monarchy. I do feel that Angela Kelly should have been cared for and if they’re going to kick her off the grounds of the estate, it is my hope that King Charles at least has taken steps to care for Angela in her older age. She did dedicate her life to his mother.
Waving from Australia, Neil. 👋👋🙂I'm sure Charles will honour his much loved mother's wishes for Angela. He knows how much we all miss her late Majesty! 😢😊
Angela has been granted a house by King Charles, just not on the royal estate. Some of these places need repairs and renovation (which is not done during occupancy) and some have been let at a peppercorn rental. King Charles knows that market rental should be charged in order that the property earns its keep. Angela was nearing retirement and the Queen gave her permission to write two books in order that her years of discretion and loyalty was rewarded. Charles has carried out the Queens wishes and bought Angela a property further north.
What a lovely tribute for Ms. Kellys service and friendship. I certainly what to say how much I enjoy you channel. The scenery around your beautiful city, is lovely to see all the while catching up the news of the day. Your cheery demeanor and days gone by remembrances are always entertaining. So keep up the good work, you are a treasure Neil. Oh, how I would love to be there to see King Charles III cornation..The will be my second ceremony like this......I listened to the wonderful Queen Elizabeth II Coronation. When I was a young child on the radio. What a thrill now at 80, I will be able to watch on TV. Congratulations to your countrymen, young and old....what a wonderful historical event. A few last words regarding Prince Harry, I believe he is a good person and he .just be coming from such a noble family. He has just himself mixed up with a very cruel unscrupulous person. I know how it appears but she used his sad history about his mother to control him. Bless him he needs to get away from her and back with him family. Thank You ......I will be watching on Saturday. Love from Florida Julia
Angela would make a good replacement for Anna Wintour if she ever retired. Or Ms Kelly could design a line of clothing for the over 50s woman. At any rate I wish Ms Kelly the very best for her future.
I think when your job is constantly in the public eye there’s absolutely no way you will ever change something and have everyone pleased with you. Doesn’t even work on a much less public life. People love to nitpick. Sort of like vultures 🙈 ♥️🇨🇦
But the King has QUIETLY bought Angela a house in Yorkshire- her home county. When I first heard the story of HM 'ditching' Angela, I simply did NOT believe it. I KNEW that he would never do this, From studying the man over the years and that something else would come out. I am stunned that you, Mr Sean, would believe this garbage for one moment.
She received an eviction notice and NOT until she made it public that she was being evicted that Charles kept his mothers promises to Angels being taken care of for life by the royal family ---
It has been stated, by herself too, that another property was since bought for her to reside in the Peak District until her death which then passes back to the Crown. That said I'm not quite sure how that's cost cutting if her x apartment in Windsor is now vacant and a new home bought so I am a tad puzzled by that. I perhaps wrongly assumed that she was asked to vacate because of course she was now x staff living within the grounds so perhaps was no longer appropriate for the rest of her days. I wish her well. Whether there was any ill feeling between anyone at the Palace or Windsor we really can't know for sure but we know that HMTQ trusted her so much that she allowed her to write books about her, she was her confidante, her companion through the pandemic lockdowns etc and I believe she always put HMTQ first and fended people off if HM needed it. Angela spent HMTQ last days with her and i think we should be grateful to her for all she did. Good luck for the future Angela (AK47)
Jude Webb: I believe the difference is Our Gracious King Charles III actually bought the new house with his own money. It will revert to his ownership after her death. That means the cost was to him and not part of the Royal Estate... 🙂
I worked for an English company in Greece for 2 years. The salary was low but I was assigned a villa to live in. When I left, I didn't expect to keep the house - should I have done? Many universities (& companies) assign grace & favour properties to staff but they, too, find their own accommodation when they leave the post. It's normal & people working for these organisations understand the home belongs to the employer and is vacated when employment ends. The King has bought a forever home (near family) for Ms.Kelly to call hers for life after which it will go back to the crown. He stood by his word to the Queen and I'm sure Ms. Kelly is counting her blessings. Some are not so lucky.
Hi Neil If Charles is cost cutting, how much will he pay MM in the divorce settlement?? And what will happen to Harry,,where will he go ?? . 😊 Whats gonna happen to the invisible children and their titles and Harry's and MM titles??
I hope it's true that Charles bought Angela a house to live in Not like back stairs Billy, left abandoned thrown out and became an alcoholic where was the Royal compassion for him?
That is quite understandable, even if it seems a bit harsh, because Angela served for a long time and obviously faithfully and is already elderly herself.
She moved to be close to her family and told everyone she hoped everyone had got her new mobile number because she doesn’t require the work one. It’s none story.
Well I am glad to read that she was bought a house after all. One can be forgiven I think for suspecting the king of being parsimonious given his pushing of his brother and forcing the Queen's private secretary to retire early.
Neil you need to get a handle on this story quickly! The amount of hate in these comments is shocking when we don't know half the story. I'm not happy with Charles's behaviour as King but it's not ok for the slating here when it's now been said he bought her a house. You have a moral responsibility to calm this down!
Maybe this type of sht is the reason charles is getting the shit thrown at him left right and center by smegs and harry clown 🤡 everything you do comes back to you. Just in different ways
Hi Neil, Apparently King Charles has given Angela a new house, which is not being reported until today (Daily Mail on Line). But not on the Royal Estate.
Stop all this nonsense about Charles he can't do right for doing wrong always painting him out as heartless or weak enough now let him njoy his coronation instead of all this he's waited his whole life for this day good luck king Charles I hope all goes well for you and camilla 😅😅😅❤❤
@@teresabelshaw4262 Well said, the media needs to stop undermining King Charles, get behind him and offer more support in this final week before the Coronation. They have done nothing but speculate on false rumours, while the King acts with dignity and gets on with the job. For good reason, most royal business is conducted privately away from the media and public arena.
🇬🇧 Neil by now you probably know the King purchased a house for Angela as agreed with Queen Elizabeth II 👍 It will remain hers for life, and then revert back to the Crown Estate. It is in our beautiful Yorkshire I understand. 😉
It's a bit sad the late Queen's wishes aren't being followed . Hope Angela enjoys her life after being a loyal servant and true friend to her Majesty . Morning from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺😃🌤️🐨🦘
Morning Neil, I am sure Angela had some say, as to where her new home would be? Angela is no shrinking violet, she can hold her own with the very best of them. I wish her the best in her new home and do hope we see another book from her, very soon.
Ahh... yes. KC should “ deal “ with his son in the way people like you continue to blather on about! Yes, according to people like you, KC should publicly and VERY dramatically, call H a liar, ( people already know H is a liar) verbally flog him for his nastiest towards Camilla, and Katherine ( H has made himself look childish and petulant), scold him harshly for his behavior during the last days of both Philip and HMTQ( the public already HAS turned on H for that) and declare he’ll take away his titles ( ONLY parliament can take his titles the K hasn’t the authority) and perhaps pound a podium and banish him from the UK and all commonwealth countries FOR EVER!! I’m sure these are the comments you make under the videos regarding King...??? Well if you’ve got a grade school level of maturity and intelligence and are looking for lots and lots and LOTS of attention and drama and want constant chaos and ugliness associated with you and your family...well of course your fat flopping mouth would keep the press full of retorts, and rebuttals to everything H and M said or did.
@@jangrime3070 You mean all about his mothers lovers - even her first one, while STILL married and Harry was a baby, was married - and how she was approaching double figures before his father began his affair with Camilla. Is that the information you mean because we already know it. We also know - just look at the videos - that Diana rushed to be first and pushed ahead of Charles in the same way Meghan does to Harry. Or how Diana deliberately called the photographers to ensure she was on the front page rather than other royal family members thus ensuring their charitiy endeavours were pushed into the ''not read'' pages just so Diana could remain in the public eye [and I was around during their marriage and it was obvious that she had to be on the front pages, the front covers of the magazines while all the good work done by Princesses Anne or Alexandra were hidden away inside the paper or magazine, and that was when I was still in NZ]. It is also FACT that Diana strayed first - admitted by Diana, her friends and her staff - but somehow she gets off scott free while Charles still gets all the blame from the ''saint'' Diana brigade. Who also, mistakenly, claim Camilla was the ''third'' in the marriage when in reality Diana was talking about another woman entirely, one who eventually won her defamation case against the media for maligning her and repeating claims she had had an affair with Charles [she hadn't], had become pregnant [she hadn't] by him and had had an abortion [she didn't] as a result. Didn't stop Diana claiming it though [in fairness she wasn't bright and was obviously not bright enough to do her own research but blindly believed the lies she was told, sounds just like her youngest son in fact] and people STILL believing it or claiming that she was talking about Camilla [she wasn't]. It has all come out, including the fact that it was Diana who called the photographers on the evening she was killed, something else Harry conveniently forgets to mention, and that they were chasing after the car albeit from quite a distance away simply because Diana and Dodi left by a different door. There was NO NEED for the drunken driver to have been speeding except that he was drunk, but again Harry seems to ignore the FACTS in favour of HIS VERSION OF REALITY, and anything he thinks he knows about his parent's marriage will fall into the HIS VERSON OF REALITY camp. Mind you, he could admit his mother was a truly lousy mother and did a terrible job of raising him and how he intends to do better by his own kids, but I don't think he's going to admit that either.
Some of the grace and favor lodgings are not really spectacular. They are small and not completely comfortable. Angela isn't fussing about it so why should anyone else.
I am glad King Charles bought Angela a residence…that was very kind. If only in his money pinching he could extract his dear brother and ex sister in law from the Royal Lodge! They are costing him tons monthly! It works one way for one but not for another… Angela loved her Queen and the Queen loved her, too. I look forward to the Coronation and especially am focusing on the Wales family and how wonderful they are! It will be their turn some day!
Well, I never heard of a employee, or even a friend, getting to live in a castle for life? Maybe in the Queen's day, but not Charles's, he is, after all, paying the bills. I understand the Ki g bought her a house, seems more reasonable than living in a castle.
@@almawalker1432 of course. I don't know the King, but I've followed him for years, he seems a decent man to me, one who would not disrespect his mother's wishes. Long live the King.
Neil can you please follow up on this story for those of us not in the UK……comments from many here say Charles bought a home for Angela to use for life…..THANK YOU This would make sense as isnt The Prince and Princess of Wales interested in living in the Castle?
