Hi, thanks for taking the time to make those vids as they are extremely handy for the lazy ones (like me) who prefer to fool around playing than thoroughly read the manual... I have had the Moog sound studio (M32+DFAM) for a month now, and every day I get more and more enthusiastic about it. So your tuts came precisely at the right moment, and I have learned a lot, so thanks for that.

Loving these videos. I have the Mother-32 and the MiniBrute 2S and I’ve always used the MiniBrute more. I think that will change as I learn more about the Mother. Your videos are very informative. I noticed you got the same effect with the LFO at audio rate of getting both a triangle and square similar to how you can get a saw and square by patching the square VCO into Noise In the set mix to 12 o clock.

Yeah, it is very similar. There's lots of different options. The Minibrute's sequencer is pretty great. Sometimes I miss that screen when I'm using the Mother. They both are awesome in their own ways.

Right now I am in the school of Moog. The manuals (including Patch & Tweak w/ Moog) are the written coursework and these videos, along with the Moog demo libraries, are my lecture content. I appreciate your understanding of these synths and your willingness to put together such detailed explanations. My only request is that you work through all of the Moog semi modular family

Good Explanation of the functionallity. For me it would be good if you can explain the Mother 32 clocked external by f.e. a drum machine and than change pattern on the Mother 32. Sometime I get problems with the Mother Tempo Knob.

Good idea - I'm traveling a lot this month, but I'll see if I can put together a short video on this when I get back. I'm sure others would want to see it too. Thanks for the suggestion!

one thing i figured out is to go with your tutorial in somewhat paralel way to get all the 8 videos of each instrument and them advance to the next level Im almost shure you intended it on this way so you can understand its patching 😀😀😀

Not sure if you were implying that its planned for an upcoming video but the Assign out can be assigned to a random generator! Super useful to patch to the VCA for fluctuating sounds

Yep! That's what the next video is. Agreed. Such a hidden gem.

Hello, first thank you for your tutorial. The oscilloscope that you use is very helpfull to understand. Were do we find it ? , any good oscilloscope apps for ipad/iphone
@braintree56
@braintree56 6 месяцев назад
The Oscilloscope I'm using here (and use often) is called the Mordax Data. I'm not sure if there are Oscilloscopes for control voltages that could be used as an app... There are some that you could use to see the waveform, but the control voltages is what's really helpful!!!

It is possible to synchronize the LFO with the tempo? I can,t do by ear, y try patching every out into lfo rate input but nothing works...may be i missin something, i,m new into M32...🥵
@braintree56
@braintree56 10 месяцев назад
Unfortunately you cannot tempo sync the LFO... I've read some workarounds where you can get the LFO to reset, but they didn't work in a way that I felt was usable... It would take some creative patching. I would use a module like Pam's Pro Workout for tempo Sync'd modulation.
