All captive adult male orcas have collapsed fins (like in the movie "Free Willy") Probably because they don't have enough space to swim and because of a bad diet of dead fish. A wild orca with a collapsed fin is usually injured or unhealthy.

It actually depends of what population the orcas are in! Their are different kind of orcas, each having completely different diets and hunting techniques. Transients orcas are the one who eats the most marine mammals but resident orcas’ diet consists primarily of fish, same as offshore orcas. The last two are usually getting along other cetaceans like dolphins! 😊
