54 years old and these are these are the friends ya had if ya knew who Anthrax, Metallica, C.O.C., Slayer, Agnostic Front, Overkill were in high school on the west coast in the 1980's. There weren't many of us at that time, but we did know that this sound was awesome. These guys understand. TY for the Flashback of my youth KillerSick... what a trip to see

This is so good, I would even say 1986! (this is a very subtle joke, not meant to be taken literally, based on the fact that 1986 was a very good year for Thrash. Metallica released MOP, Megadeth: Peace Sells and Slayer: RIB. That is the only basis for the joke and the post. I'm not really trying to split hairs with the OP and argue it's more '1886' than '1987'. Just elaborating the point before some twat, without a sense of irony, in the comments, starts having a go)

True - and even niche music industry needs some refreshment and probably a "shift" now (like it was many times in the past). Genres like metalcore/deathcore, despite having a lot of fans, have become quite stale and are currently in the "Ouroboros stage"... Raw old school Thrash sound with some creative blends of other subgenres could be the next big thing in Metal.
