1:27 Want to fix some powerlines? All you need is a screwdriver! Also, don't worry about gravity when on top, hold two hands before your face when seeing some ghosts. You are about to become one yourself that way! God i loved this show!!
I love The Real GhostBusters still. I'm 38 years old and got to watch this in re-runs on Saturday Morning cartoons with my late wonderful dad and being from NYC made this even better for us.
I'm 37 myself and remember watching this regularly with my bro growing up. We would be at our grandparents house sitting down to morning cartoons watching this, all while chowing down on as much pop tarts and sugary cereal we could stomach.
As expected of this being the first produced RGB episode, there are moments where this may have fit in being a series premiere compared to "Ghosts R Us". One, 3:36 is one good way to transition a part of the intro into the show proper. Two, the close up of the Ecto-1 when leaving the Firehouse feels quite introductory for the trusty vehicle (all while the stakes appropriately get higher when it's/she's possessed). Three, the noticeable action parts showcasing the capabilities of the Ghostbusters akin to the movie. Four, the involvement of a big foe of a ghost threat, albeit one that is still nicely tame compared to Gozer sometime back. Five, ticker tape parade. They really should have at least tried out Ray's delicacy. Imagine, it may look bad (and possibly smell bad), but it could taste divine, like Filipino cooking. 4:15 gets quite a double meaning with Extreme Ghostbusters in mind years later. The "generator mutt" kinda sounded like a bat gargoyle. 10:23: Hmm, will probably have to count the number of times words like "die" are said in this show. That way, I'll see if it makes, hmm, Spider-Man: The Animated Series quite tame. (Oh, and the episode title and its eponymous villain won't count. Already too obvious.) 10:54: Praise the coincidentally timed blessings of a Higher Power, I guess. 12:22 and 22:10: *Sad reminder that those'll stop running lights at least 15 years after RGB first premiered.* Moral of the episode: Always shift gears after stopping your car, especially on slopes. Funny how Slimer saves the day by putting off a switch in this ep, while in "Ghosts R Us" (the last episode in airdate, the next in production), he's accidentally responsible for wreaking havoc because of it. 21:36: Times in RGB when words of death are spoken: 2
Is there any possible way that this channel can access and post the background music of The Real Ghostbusters, WITHOUT the sound effects attached? The only soundtrack of all the hauntingly beautiful background themes of this cartoon that was ever released contained, for some reason, the sound effects of episodes in which the music played. I've been searching for the better part of my adult life for versions of this cartoon's superlative instrumentals without the extra sounds. I would gladly pay for such a soundtrack!
I love the song of charge you up and don’t you play her game from the real ghostbusters ost and Peter’s joke “With a little spaghetti sauce, we can be meatballs!” LMAOL 😂
James Avery did an amazing job voicing Killerwatt! He was always great at intimidating roles! Examples include Shredder, Uncle Phil and the Judge Ghost on later “Real Ghostbusters”.
Please,I have a school and homework but I really want to watch all the seasons of the RGB again..And the notification about RGB series beckons me even more(I have no time 🆘)
The title card was on the DVD as part of the gallery feature. So they apparently forgot to put it in. As for “edited”? Not necessarily. Three season 2 ABC episodes were shorter on the Time-Life DVD. The running time for Killerwatt is more or less identical to the version on the Time-Life DVD.
The first of the three DVD's with containing The Real Ghostbusters released by Sony Pictures in 2006, "Creatures Of The Night" has the title card present. I was really surprised when I discovered that it was left off of the Time Life DVD set, when I first watched it.
LOTS of animated shows had little boo boos like that. Transformers, TMNT, etc. Probably the animators were not aware who spoke what. Also, possibly they were rushing to meet dead lines.
