A private company also has private investor who could impose strict deadlines and also they no longer can get on the leverage they get from capital markets and have to rely on private investors.

I'm in a discussion with someone about stock options as part of their compensation package - are these options null and void now with twitter? I'm an accountant, not a lawyer.

So I saw this at my last company who did this about 3 weeks after I was hired, and as I had never worked for a public tech company before, I saw people who were nervous about cut-backs, the whole thing etc etc. I understand some of the positives, but would it be fair to say that in SOME cases, maybe not all, a public company may go private to basically free C-Level execs from potentially being held accountable by shareholders/board and to more or less hide poor performance? I'm unfamiliar with finance, so please pardon my ignorance.

This is so weird. I just watched a video about capital gains tax on an ISA that you made for moneywise in 2011 Tim, I then spotted the date. I thought your presentation style was brilliant, and a google search and a few clicks later I just watched you age 17 years within a few minutes!
