This reminds me of when I was young man. I was on a camping trip in northern california with a group of friends and my girlfriend at the time. We spotted a good size rattle snake down by the river and I went down and shot him with a 22 rifle that I had with me. I had never tried rattler but heard that it tasted very good, so I skinned and cleaned the snake in the river, and just happened to have a white gas stove and a bunch of seasonings with me. I was rather intoxicated at the time but managed to get the snake all cleaned, seasoned and into a frying pan. Right when I was about the pull the meat out of the pan, and have my first taste of rattle snake, some girl whom I had prior relationship with showed up at the camp site. My obnoxiously drunk girlfriend took offense to this and attacked the girl who showed up there. During the two girls scuffle, my white gas stove was knocked over, rattle snake and all, at which time my fully cooked and un-eaten snake rolled down a brush infested, steep incline, never to be seen again. I still haven't tried rattle snake to this day.

I have eaten snake before, it was not that good as people think... It tastes like chicken, but even a bit worse. And you dont get so much meat either, just pure bone.

well, it depends of the kind of venom doesn't it ? I heard some poisons if cooked don't pose problem, but i don't think all of them work like that... perhaps just cutting the area around were the dart hited once the animal is dead would be a choice ? Being the place were the poison will be the most concentrated, the rest would be surely edible.
well, i think it depends too of the prey size : about how much the poison spreads on it's organism and the concentration of it. Some substances are mortal only if you eat a certain amount of it after all.
Typically a land snake with a good diet like mice, rabbits, frogs etc will taste more like land food then snakes that eat fish etc. depends on what you like but almost all snakes swim in water and will eat fish etc.

you know mcdonalds are more cruel than this. they atleast gets it done and doesn't support overproduction of meat. that is the problem with fast food chains they throw too much out and produce too much.
What these young men are doing is very healthy for their minds and bodies. The meat they get from hunting is Much healthier than the one that comes from farms and supermarket shelves, less cruel for the animals also
Just tried a chicken snake last week, shot it in my chicken coop. About 4 feet long. Skinned Marinated it, chopped it up, and deep fried it, served with green onions. Kinda chewy, but like an almost sweet flavored taste. Like a half catfish half chicken flavor. Not bad..
No, I think they could make it work as far as hunting things to eat. Except, if they had to rub two sticks for fire that might have taken a little longer.
No this video was a joke. These two idiots are so stupid they don't know you NEVER cut a snake head off at the base? There are extra fangs behind the head as we can see in the video. Could have bitten on them. Not likely to have poison but if so you are dead. Always cut inches below the head. And dont watch these Bear Grylls wanna bees.
Doris Moser the horned viper lives in Italy and it's venomous. Also snakes like the European adder are venomous. There are more vemomous snakes in Europe and these snakes I named are just examples from Italy.
