Mi6 is basically mi5 but they operate all over the world, very similar to james bond. They probably operate slightly outside of the law as-well. Possibly some terrorist torture....
MI5 and MI6 are titles left over from WW2 when there were several Military Intelligence sections. After the war only 5 and 6 remained and became well known to the public. Although are still referred to by the public and the press as MI5 and 6, they are no longer official known by these names now. MI5 is the Security Service. MI6 is the Secret Intelligence Service. The real MI6 building is the one that was blown up (CGI obviously) in the James Bond film Skyfall. Here endeth the nerd lesson!!!
Villanelle bought the same bed sheet that she saw at the Italian villa. That is her trophy. She takes a trophy from the crime scene, but she also leaves the trophy in situ so it can't be traced back to her.
Yeah her name is Fiona Shaw and she is mostly know for her stage work, esp Shakespeare. I think she was the first woman to play Hamlet on stage but dont quote me on that lol.
Can't wait for you to fall in love with Villanelle like the rest of us! She erases all the stereotypes we know about bad "guys" Also Bold type is a really good show as well and for more than just the gay!
Bruschetta , you can have lots of toppings on them, generally really fully ripe fresh tomatoes, a bit of olive oil, avocado, salt and pepper , so delicious
lol loved how you figured out who the actors are. I'm that IMDB person who has to point out what the actors appeared in so I can relate lmao. Great reaction as always! I honestly loved this show and yes, the characterizations are really done well and the interesting plot plus two female leads is something I appreciate a lot. Can't wait for your reactions to the rest of the season
Miranda Miller I've tried and tried to watch the bold type and it just reminds me of the same set up of pretty little liars which I can't stand which sucks because it's supposed to have good rep. But they're all so shiney and perky looking & caught up in relationship & work drama... In your opinion is there a pivotal episode that got you hooked or did you just like it from the start? Genuinely wondering
Sam First, The Bold Type is *nothing* like PLL. Yes, there is drama, but it’s all justified with how it all plays out. Also, people actually sit down and talk about their problems, and try to find a reasonable solution. PLL did no such thing. And, nobody is killing anyone on this show. And as for when I got hooked, right away. I could instantly tell this was a show that was different. How? The writers on this show treat their female leads as complex human beings; most other shows hardly ever do that.
Sam, I suggest season 1, episode 2 or season 1, episode 9 to get you hooked! Those were my favorite two episodes from season 1. The show has lots of drama but every character is so well written and Kadena honestly has the best representation up there with Wayhaught in my opinon. I say give it another try! Season 2 has been amazing so far. You don't get this kind of rep on TV.
When it comes to good writing for quality representation, I'd have to disagree with you danyT. We don't get conversations and rep like this with other shows. The writing is fantastic! Aside from Kadena, each character has their own story, no plotholes, verbal flashbacks that make sense, etc,.... The show is great. Maybe we are not watching the same show. That is if you're actually still watching, of course...
Can't wait to see you react to more! Also super happy to see you acknowledge Villanelle as bi. :] I haven't finished the show yet but I love how dark and also quirkily funny it is. The showrunner, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has another show called Fleabag which she stars in and it's hilarious and heartfelt. She breaks the fourth wall to speak to the audience and it's filmed really interestingly. It's only 6eps that are like 20mins each so super quick to blast through!
She speaks French, that's cool I'm french and I think it's very cute when English speak french ^^ By the way I think Villanelle look a little bit like you... Or maybe it's just me 🤔
Youre killing eve reactions are amazing and funny ... youre female look into this masterpiece is brilliant 4 a male admirer .... new female perspective is worth watching this show again ... hehe ... its indeed a wardrobe but not a boudoir .... a boudoir is a room or a space where french women in the 18th century and after are feeling themselves ... the sparkles , the energy , the love , the hate and much more is brilliant between Eve & Villanelle 😁🤩...until season 3 ..... omg i cant wait 🙈😂👍..... Jodie Comer nailed it ... an acting goddes 👊... quote : frank:" please dont kill me i have 2 children ! " . Villanelle : " I dont want youre children 🤣. Tip: first season killing eve is written by phoebe waller bridge ... (won afta for it ) ... so watch fleabag👍 & react so i can watch again haha... My new day of the year is purple Penguin day 🤣
Lucky suitcase, haha. I too LOVE this show. Just discovered it this week and have of course already binged thru the first season. Just WAIT to see what you got coming yet in this show, haha) BUT NOW I GOTTA WAIT FOR SEASON TWO! Grrr! hahaha. :D Hi, so nice to meet you - love reactors, I follow several but just spotted you as I was working my way through the growing number of reacts for this show. Great react from you, will be subscribing-up and watching to see what else you react to that I watch (Vikings, F/TWD, The 100, WestWorld and a few others). Anyway, great react and commentary. :) Hugs
No, it isn't a law firm called M15 but an intelligence department called MI5, short for Military Intelligence 5, founded about 100 years ago to gather intelligence on the German army and navy. The British government never admitted it existed until the 1980s.
I love that almost every reaction of Killing Eve I've seen so far the person knows nothing about the show before watching. I mean, I knew a lot about it and was still baffled, but this way is so much better
Five minutes in: "I don't know how I feel about her yet... She's kind of weird and kind of a bitch." Ten minutes in: "oh my god. She's bisexual." *Applauds* Twenty minutes in: "This bitch is f*cking CRAZY. But oh my god is she hot." I'm six episodes in and still feel just as emotionally confused about Villanelle. She's a complete psychopath, but also... you know... completely likable. Props to the writers for creating such a complex character. And of course, to the actress for bringing her to life. Props to you for a fun reaction. Can't wait for the rest.
Thx you, recommended strongly to watch! Thx you for the opportunity. I hope your reaction won't get to obtrusive but happy to watch with a biped. 🛬☠️🛫⌚
You know what... I was wondering since the beginning who the hell were those two, i knew that I have seen them before, and you nailed it in 3 freaking seconds !!
thanks for reacting to a british programme sometimes it's like the writing is just never seen out of the UK. Dr Foster is also amazing and has the actress who plays the assassin in killing eve
LMAO '..I still don't know her name.' -Oh it's EVE..' lol so ME too, hahaha 😆. 2nd watch of this reaction, first time there was only this one so far, I think. You have more so gonna catch up now, haha. -Oh and sub to you, too 😊. (Lol oh how my inner kink loves saying that to a woman, regardless of gay, bi or str8, hahaha) 😉
I like that you pointed out that a lot of the characters are likable. That;s rare, these days. So often lately all the characters are unlikable and yet we are supposed to somehow connect to them and root for them.
M fifteen 🤦🏻♀️ my god. Haha mi5 (m i five) is a british secret service that focuses on criminals without traveling to other countrys,(this is super basic btw dont quote me) and mi6 which is another branch travels to different countrys and stuff. Thank you my triggerged heart is settled 😌😂
I know it's not relevant, but every time you were gushing over Villanelle your words were applicable to you. You have a beautiful smile. OT, I love this show.
Great show. I finished last weekend. This is why it is important to have and support your taxpayer funded public broadcasters. I doubt you would get something made like this to this standard on a commercial network. My understanding is that your BBC equivalent, PBS spends part of its time begging for donations.
"M fifteen - a law firm" - hahahaha. M I 5 - say it separately. How can you not know what it is? Even roughly? I don't care what country you come from.
