Marcus King and Stephen Campbell of the Marcus King Band perform Killing Floor at Carter Vintage Guitars. Marcus is playing a 1957 Stratocaster and Stephen a 1966 Precision Bass. The vocal mic is an Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina.

Anthony Festa saw him live on a blues festival in Holland last week, and he totally blew everyone off their feet. Next record will be out in september and i will see him in amsterdam in october. Can’t wait. Enjoy exploring!

This is AMAZING!!! Really just a little compression and reverb on the vocals....and a little more close mic on the guitar and this could have had the potential to be one of the best recorded versions of killing floor to date.

The vocal mic is a Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina and the amp mic is a Cascade Fat Head. We are also using a room mic on a Zoom H6.

Yep, bass. I mean yeah...duh..obviously the spotlight, and the whole point of the video is Marcus. But everyone knows a good accompanist in many situations can be the frosting on the cake. The bass player is rocking it here, but can't hear him... so no frosting for you! Thumbs up for the video generally and for Marcus, but thumbs down for whoever set up the audio that day. Boo.
