Seeing this performance on the Tube (80’s tv prog) made me go out & buy tickets for the gig at Hammersmith. Was a Joker from there on in. What a journey
Saw em about a week before this at Essex University for the 1st time and then at Hammersmith Palais a week after--such a great band. And it continues...
Remember seeing this back when it was first shown - The Tube 5pm on a Friday (or was it 5.30?) Great stuff - 'Big' Paul Fergusson playing an early hybrid kit - great stuff
He had been on the whisky that night and tried to whisk me off on their European tour...had met them at their gig the night before because I'd been sick and the drummer's girlfriend had taken me to their dressing room. Those were the days!
did sound for them on their reunion tour, Echo Park in Los Angeles...last minute tour dete's were falling apart and I was literally hired off the street. The hall was this cryptic/iconic locale in L.A. that turns out is owned by a devil worship witch or something like that? An old Masonic temple i think? Great show...tour manager tried to get off w/not payin' me...walked right onto the tour bus-Geordie sittin' right there watchin' the tape (yep, video back then) of that night. Weird encounter!
@wibeseeke aside from the olive skin tone and black hair I can't really see the resemblance...lol but wow, so much energy when they perform. that was great
Nik Neuy ha duran are pants, saw K J at hammersmith palais way back in the eighties and they shook the foundations, geordie was on top form and i,ll never forget the wait/pssche/frenzy ! Love this band
Another great Tube Live performance. So amny great acts were on this show - showcasing some indie / alt / gothic legends. This album was so industrial and goth.
