The reason why there is fairly many people just stand still and eat instead of running. they are not pk'rs. they are pvm'ers and gold makers. they are there to gamble not have pvp fight and actively trying to get better at it. Granted death matching isnt as stable money maker as sand casino 50/50 but it is still better than grinding vorkath or zulrah.

Next time try using accuracy boosting gear and not torva, you will probably get more kills against those high defence dhers, pretty sure a fighter helm might be better than torva helm and inquisitor will be better than torva for maul
