I’m so disturbed by the fact that you can take out a life insurance policy on someone without their knowledge/permission. How is that legal? Why would someone want to secretly take out a policy on someone OTHER than for criminal reasons??

Walmart used to take out insurance policies on their elderly employees, without the employees knowledge. Then got busted for the behavior. Chances are Walmart is right back at it. Because it isn't illegal, unfortunately.

I'm a borderline and I have major anger issues... I've broken a lot of electronics and punched holes in multiple walls. But shit I don't think I could ever bring myself to kill someone... Whenever I hear cases like this where a clinician diagnoses the person with BPD I really second guess them. Myself and other borderlines I've met actually have MORE empathy than most people, and therefore can't commit violent crimes against other people unless it's self defense or defense of another person. I will say that once me and my gf were walking in the park with her one year old son when we encountered a homeless man who made some threats. We kept walking but I picked up my keys and positioned the sharpest one between two fingers in a closed fist. I was absolutely prepared to kill the homeless man if he would have attacked, but ONLY to stop him from harming my gf and her son.

"Malignant Narcissists" (those who possess traits of psychopathy, narcissism, AND sadism) who successfully become licensed healthcare professionals are especially good at flying under the radar for years. I unfortunately know from experience. Their position of trust gives them access both to vulnerable victims and controlled substances. Their professional credentials give them the appearance of legitimacy and credibility whenever complaints arise -- which undoubtedly there were _MANY_ over the course of her career given her long history of sensation-seeking and callous behavior dating back to childhood. Their professional training taught rapport building techniques, a skill they've honed interacting with hundreds, if not thousands, of patients. Finally these 'professionals' know better than most, the ins and outs of the legal system thanks to the continuing education required for their profession. Even after having turned over evidence including audio recordings, text messages, and emails, involving a licensed mental health counselor, it's been over 2 months and the state licensing board hasn't even referred the criminal violations to law enforcement. (e.g. manufacturer and administration of psychadellics to clients during the course of counseling sessions without supervision or safety protocols.) I also included the name and suicide date of a dual therapeutic relationship client of this counselor that the included evidence proves took place during these 'drug trials'. Based on public reviews I'm confident I'm not the first to report him, I'm just the first to recognize the narcissisic and psychopathic traits (thanks to Dr. Grande's videos) because I've been in a dual therapeutic relationship with him for almost two decades. While this woman's downfall was ultimately a result of a combination of factors including (but not limited to) her grandiosity, entitlement, financial irresponsibility, and impulsivity-- which were all undoubtedly exacerbated by her illicit drug-use-- I think she is an example of the 'trail of destruction' that Dr. Grande has covered in previous videos on Narcissisim and Psychopathy. Thanks Dr. G for covering another cautionary tale about the dangers of these destrctive personality traits.

Hi Dr. Grande! I have an interesting analysis request. I would love to see a video about Drew Carrey as the host of the Price is Right. Generally speaking, It's obvious to me he isn't "into it" like Bob Barker clearly was. I admit there are some good moments with him as host, but mostly it's like he's just there to perform the motions, rush through everything, get the day over with and get the heck outta there! He's mostly just there for the paycheck and I hate that. It's so easy to tell if you really pay attention. Is this a topic worthy of a video? Maybe do a comparison of the two hosts? Nobody talks about this and you seem like the perfect man for the job! Another thing I always think about him is how he accidentally got himself locked into having to ask EVERYONE who spins the big wheel if they want to say hi to anyone. I can tell he'd like to end that if he could lol. Thanks for listening.

Maybe you’d like to know how traumatic her childhood was or how severe the other causative factors in her childhood and adolescence were that led up to the commission of her crimes. Not to minimize murder in any way it just helps provide some background. Mommy issues translate to money issues in many of us.

I imagine she may be a source of material for jokes about differences between men and women, with the typical stereotypes such as women being crazy for shopping. Something a bit like "the onion's" news on the first female dictator being a landmark for feminism, with the whole serial killer aspect as well. At first it seems so mismatching, the idea of being a nurse while also having such propensities. Makes me wonder if it's really a bizarre mismatch of two different but genuine propensities, or whether this line of career is attractive as a form of disguise. "What? A nurse strangling people around? No way. She's seen as very gentle and nice by those she care for. Besides, the method would probably be some poison, let's prioritize the other suspects."

This case is so disturbing as she appears to be an extremely unusual perpetrator due to the nature of her crimes. She is a woman who murders elderly women by strangling them so to steal their money & other desirable items. First, it is *far* less likely for a woman to kill compared to a man. Second, she is killing older women who are helpless. Third, she is strangling them, which is a *very* intimate & especially cruel & somewhat slower way to kill someone; it is the chosen method of killers who wish to feel that power over life & death in their own hands & wish to witness the light leave their victim’s eyes, or the act is carried out in a fit of passion or frenzied rage. Ultimately, she is very… unique… but obviously in the worst way possible. I cannot imagine killing the elderly, even more so with my bare hands. The most disgusting & disturbing behavior. Let her rot.

Wow, you just can't make this stuff up. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

why would she be urinating on the bed at an early age? for me her behaviors indicate abuse of a certain kind. I don't think the shopping , particularly luxury items, as a motivator to murder or commit other crime can be underestimated, particularly of recent. She reminds of the catfisher/trafficker Tara Lee, who had drawers of luxury watches, cars etc, and who exploded mothers, trafficked Babies and catfishes prospective adopters with wild stories. in fact, if she hadn't targeted their paps, then probably the police would not have acted. I have heard that prior to that scam, she was looking at trying of get guardianship of elderly people (that's what reminded me of her, along with the shopping) .. which fortunately was stopped. But she is out of jail in 8 years so who knows what all be net.
