Can we take a moment to appreciate how good Jesse is on this track? While his cleans are really commendable, it's his screaming that's really blowing me away. This is a fast song, the fact that he's able to put infliction in his voice and go from growls to the high pitched screams so quickly is so impressive.

My favorite KSE track. Gives me goosebumps everytime. Thoughtful lyrics, brutally heavy at times, melodic. I love the atmospheric elements going on the latter part of the song. So fucking good. Round of applause.

And of course, anyone who doesn't know shit about music will say that this album is awesome (out of the 5 songs released so far). It's not awesome. This reminds me of the first time my faith was tested and I began my slow ascent into an atheist. The realization that you'd been brainwashed and lied to your entire life can fuck you up.. Some seriously powerful shit here. I wouldn't expect anything less from that man. On a side note, I've no doubt he still has faith in god, and that's all well and good, but it's very apparent this song is about his faith being tested.

This has to be my favorite off of Incarnate. Purely amazing. I like how Jesse keeps screaming "I still believe". Kinda like his reaffirmation of faith in God and the unknown in the face of an ever-agnostic world.

+Jacob I think the best thing about Jesse's lyrics is that there's never truly one subject. He says that his lyrics are more spiritual than anything. The great thing about music in general though is that the meaning is "in the ears of the beholder" I guess you could say. Some people hear things about God in Jesse's lyrics, whereas I hear something completely different, and that's awesome to me.

***** Exactly. When he wrote them, you can definitely tell the subjects are usually drawn from his faith or struggles with faith, but he writes them in a way so they don't feel preachy and thus people who don't share our worldview can still relate and be inspired.

Gotta be honest. I don't believe in God and I know Jesse is very clear on that subject, but I still like this song by how it is. And more compared to most of the artists today releasing material that quite frankly, has been heard before or it's just generic crap. I'm thankfull for people like him and this band for making songs like this that can make the difference for many people.

Freakin love the sound of this track. Reminds me of AOJB which IMO is one of the best albums of all time. Best song off the album so far and the rest of the tracks have been amazing as well. Also, Killswitch has some of the best lyrics ever.
