Bruh, was there in Frisco in February. Seen u guys so many times starting with Jesse in 2001 in Albany NY when Adam was a drummer, then with you throughout my 20s and then Jesse again in like 2013. A lifelong die hard fan. The songs u made with these guys will live with me until the very end, much love
Amen brobro, it took me a while to realize this song is about a relationship with Jesus. Brings me back to a better time when I listen to it. Music like this is whats missing from today's sound.
+sarin royce Thats because their music carried roots in Good ol' fashioned metal, drawing influences from Metallica, Pantera, and Iron Maiden, just to reference a few.
+sarin royce absolutely true 100% this band got me in to metal. and i am hooked to KSE for the rest of my life. P.S Howard is just slightly better then Jesse. but i still love Jesse. both are fucking awesome
Nick Garwood definitely. I listened to Killswitch before I even liked metal, and my friend Brian doesn't like metal at all but he loves them too, my friend Cody still loves them even though they're easy for him to play on the guitar now. I watched him play This is Absolution and Arms of Sorrow flawlessly a couple days ago and they write the catchiest prettiest riffs I've ever seen.
This band empowered so many of us back in the 00s. Howard-era KSE was my religion. I'm turning 31 this year and this song still hits as hard as it did when I heard it back in 04.
Also, check out "Cemetery Gates" by Pantera and anything by Alice In Chains (Layne era). 🤟 "Nutshell", "Rain When I Die", "Rooster", "Would?", "Man In The Box", etc.
I am from west africa, friends and family thinks I have lost my mind for listening to rock music. For a very strange reason I am deeply in love with rock music
My best mate when I was a teenager was black and we were both metalheads (I'm white though) and he was an amazing guitarist. Also a black guy in my year at school was also an insane guitarist.
Seek me, call me I'll be waiting Seek me, call me I'll be waiting This distance, this dissolution I cling to memories while falling Sleep brings release, and the hope of a new day Waking the misery of being without you Surrender, I give in Another moment is another eternity For comfort (Call me) For solace (I'll be waiting) For the end of my broken heart Completion (Call me) I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting) For the end of my broken heart You know me, you know me all too well My only desire, to bridge our division In sorrow I speak your name And my voice mirrors, mirrors my torment For comfort (Call me) For solace (I'll be waiting) For the end of my broken heart Completion (Call me) I'll be waiting (I'll be waiting) For the end of my broken heart Am I breathing? My strength fails me Your picture, a bitter memory For comfort, for solace For comfort (Call me) For solace (I'll be waiting) For the end of my broken heart
I’m a black metal drummer I hate this day and age people expect me to listen to hip hop or electronic music constantly and not rock. I wish more black people formed metal bands and attended rock shows there are so many stereotypical views on what we should like! Whatever race you are if the musics goood it’s good
i was really confused thinking you were trying to say you only like drumming to black metal. Had to read the whole thing to understand what you were saying :P
This was one of the few entrance themes that instantly caught my ear. If I ever were to meet Roddy in person, I might just shake his hand for introducing me to it haha
i listen to this song in the gym every day.....I can literally get two more reps per set listening to Killswitch Engage...I turn nuts during that time... then i go home and play with my cat
That song vibrates in my soul! Howard was my son's favorite singer. I have heard this song blasted high volume many times before his death, and now many times after. He was so right! Howard is amazing!
@@oyepvokadub6522 seen them live once with jessie. Dude was outta breath and couldn't scream for very long. I was pissed cause I paid to see Howie and the rest of killswitch. I left in the middle of the show.
@@turtleinthewatercorpuschri276 The guy had his problems everyone knows that. He had a surgery and now a vocal coach so lets hope he picks up his live performance in the future.
i am! funny story on how i was finding out this song exists. There is a wrestler who had a sample from this song as his theme and his finisher was called end of heartache... then it clicked. XD
@@Azulblueone it was! Howard was the lead and Jessie did the background and it was flawless. They also sang my curse together and one other song I forget at the moment. Howard was touring with them, he's the opener with his band light the torch. I figured since Howard was there they would most likely utilize him in killswitch songs too and they did.
Roderick Strong, a former member of The Undisputed Era, used this Killswitch Engage song as his entrance theme a few days ago upon debuting in All Elite Wrestling. As a die-hard metalcore fan, I was so happy to hear that there are still wrestlers out there who are willing to use songs by metalcore bands as their entrance themes. I think it's clear that metalcore is a popular genre among professional wrestlers today.
It was his theme song in Ring of Honor back in the day, too. A lovely callback, and definitely a superior theme in every way compared to his WWE/NXT one. Hearing RVD come out to Pantera's Walk was also amazing, as that was his ECW theme back in the day. I know some people don't like Tony Khan for whatever reason, but I am loving these throwbacks and how he is showing wrestling fans that he is listening. Some times it is the little things that make a huge difference, and some times it is just paying the rights to use one of the best songs ever as one of your wrestler's themes.
@jcsjapan hate to be the entrance police, but yes Roderick Strong did use this song before going to WWE and AEW, he used this song during his time in the indy scene and more specifically PWG In Ring of Honor, he used A Victim, A Target by Mercy Signals.
It's honestly a win-win, because it makes gives AEW and Roderick an awesome entrance song AND it puts The End of Heartache into the ears of millions of AEW fans. I'm sure Killswitch will see an influx of sales because of this, like other wrestler's entrances have helped bands in the past.
Javale fralop If anything, I consider this more soul than metal. But I agree, this song is really good. I encourage you to listen Always from them too. Just sang from Jesse and not Jones
Baby... WOW!! I remember hearing this 8 years ago. I never listened to them. I didnt know who they were. I am still so impressed with this it hits my core because it makes me think of you every time. Robert Cragg im so in love with you. Happy anniversary we done it!!! Kicked addiction almost 2 years sober!!! I did it with you. You are my soul mate. Ill BE WAITING !!!
I actually first discovered them because this song played during the end credits of "Resident Evil: Apocalypse", and liked them immediately. His voice is so good. 😩 🤟
Well Marilyn that's awesome! I listen to a little of every kind of music, the lead singer of this band is and should be an inspiration to say forget the rules and do what is you! Pretty incredible.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse brought me here resident evil had One of the most sickest soundtrack till now Slipknot aswell Cant control my headbang to this song
yes!! rented it like 10 years ago or whenever and fell asleep. woke up to this song during the credits playing.on my surround. the most beautiful thing I had.ever heard.

Killswitch Engage with Howard Jones is the one band that i cant stop listening. Everything with the band is spot on for sure. Got me through so hard times as a young kid. so thanks for what you guys did and making kick ass music !
I love that if you go to any metal show and "End of Heartache" comes on the PA between sets, every single damn person will sing it at the top of their lungs. Doesn't matter if you're into prog, thrash, death, black, etc. Unity!!!!!
Damn, my bf just passed away, and so this song morphs into something even more meaningful than i could imagine. Thank God someone else knows the feelings I'm experiencing in my great loss. Charlie conard this song is so dedicated to you.
Metal is unconventional. Nobody cares about skin-colour, language or where are you from. Ypu are just accepted as who you are :) thats why i love this scene so much 😊
He had some major health issues. If you look it up there is a pretty nice interview he did where he talks about it. On another note, he is now the front man for the group Devil You Know.
wow, after going through a heart breaking gut wrenching breakup this takes my feelings toward them and puts them into words. i hope i can speak to them again and i hope they know that i will always be there for them. i am only a call away
