Bro killzone was apart of my life in every good era. There’s just something so menacing about those red eyes And mysterious about that evil army. Playing those games I always caught myself looking around the missions, looking at what the houses look like what the posters and propaganda looked like..etc. The Killzone World has so much potential. Especially on ps5 no more bot dead zones..and movement.
It’s really too bad that Sony has a lot of really cool IPs like Killzone and Resistance that they aren’t doing anything with them. They should have a Master Chief Collection style package allowing people to play all the games in a single collection. Or they could give us some Resident Evil/Dead Space style remakes that utilize newer hardware to improve the presentation, have better ai, improve the gameplay by using the best ideas from across the series, and having soft retcons that better tie things in/fit in with newer lore/plot points. There’s so much that could be done. Unfortunately, they’d much rather complain about how they “can’t compete with CoD” (which has taken a nosedive recently) and crying to the governments of the world to help maintain their market dominance. Microsoft also has some similar problems where both Halo and Gears of War have a really deep universe and an engaging gameplay loop that could be used to make a bunch of really good games. Unfortunately, they’ve appointed the most incompetent out of touch regards who fundamentally misunderstand what makes said IPs great (you’ve probably heard about what a dumpster fire Halo under 343 has been). Good video. I really hope your speculation is actually real. It would be great to see more from Killzone (haven’t played them since I just have a Shrexbox and Nintendo stuff. I just think the games look like a lot of fun and have an interesting setting).
Hey man, i am glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for this comment. It was really enjoyable reading it. I can only agree with you. The ps2/3 game library had many great games that cannot be duplicated. They have a unique aspect about them which captives players in a way no battlefield or cod ever could do. The fact that games like Jak and Daxter, Halo, uncharted, dead space, ... are being remastered, played and have active communities just speaks for their quality and uniqueness. I never was big on Microsoft titles since we had PlayStation/Wii at home. When visiting a friend, I was able to play Halo for a while. It was such a unique game, it was stuck in my head. Years later I still remembered the game but not the name.
@@Kamurjan Killzone 1, 2 and 3 were all great games, but killzone shadowfall was just ok to me. Shadowfall lacked that intensity that killzone 2 and 3 had, i'd be curious to see what Guerilla could do if they made killzone 5, but I absolutely love both horizon games.
@Kamurjan Thanks. I’m glad you liked the comment. Yeah. Too bad a lot of those older IPs are now dead. Thankfully emulation is able to preserve a lot of them and quite a few third party PlayStation games have made their way to pc. If the PS5 was backwards compatible I’d buy one yesterday. Unfortunately, as it stands I don’t have much of an incentive to buy one since it lacks that, emulation is a thing, and the older games I want to play aren’t on PS5. Plus, Sony has thankfully been porting over some of their newer games to pc, which will keep them alive through mods and they’ll be available on a storefront that won’t go down once the console generation is over. Makes sense. Thankfully now the Halos are on Steam and there’s all kinds of truly insane mods that breath new life into the games. All you need to run them is a decent laptop because they were designed for the original Xbox/360 and computers have gotten stronger since then. There’s also the Half-Life games and those are a must (although, I’m one of those weirdos in the camp who think Half-Life 2 was a really good game but a bad sequel and that the Beta would’ve done a better job of carrying over the dark atmosphere/themes of the original, and it had a lot more weapon/enemy variety. That being said I’m well aware the Beta had various issues with some things needing to be HEAVILY reworked or outright scrapped. Even when the problems I feel like Valve trimmed away too much making the retail game feel kind of bland and empty compared to the original/expansions and the Beta. Thankfully we have several Beta restoration mods). Both regularly go on sale and should be purchased as an boundle since you’ll get a discount (MCC was 75% off and I only paid like 13 USDs and Half-Life was 90% off one time so I only paid $7-9 on that). Although, I will say that the Halo community is absolute cancer. Somebody once described it as “the Sonic Fandom of fps games” and that description is 100% accurate. There are SO MANY parallels between the two🤣. Thankfully they can be largely ignored while you enjoy the games. There’s a lot of really cool lore, but the expanded universe books are only really worth reading if you’re already invested in the setting and there’s a pretty big range in quality. Even with these issues I’m still able to enjoy them. Good luck on the other videos you make. Hopefully you’re doing well👍
@shreksnow1918 wow man thanks for the insight. I laughed hard when I heard the sonic fps comparison. Seems accurate af xd. Talking about Half-Life, I just got myself a VR-Headset and am currently experiencing the HL2 in a truly immersive setting. Didn't know that the beta was so different from the end product. Also it's surprising how well the graphics and physics from the game hold up. Again thanks for the support and positive words. It's greatly appreciated my man
Killzone is one of the most underrated franchise and one of my top shooter series still. I love the multiplayer (I still play KZ2 online) and the gritty universe. It deserves a return!
My idea for a killzone 5 is a prequel that takes place during the first extrasolar war. I think a killzone prequel game would be cool because it can provide some context for why the isa and helghast hate each other, how the helghast rose to power, and why they got kicked off of vekta (vekta use to belong to the helghast if you know the lore). It's a shame the series ended when it did because this series still has potential and it could have had more games
Taking into consideration that the first killzone is close to 20 years old and the following games are kinda old as well, having a prequel summing up and explaining everything sounds like a great idea. Especially for new fans of the game. They could put in a twist at the end of the game to build up hype for an official killzone follow up. If you know what I am saying
Yeah, I know what you're saying. I think it could also be cool if they would remaster or remake the older games for the ps5. It could get newer fans on board and it could give older fans some nostalgia
Bro Xbox had some bangers back in the day. It actually felt like a competition. Nowadays there is close to no buzz about Xbox. Don't even remember if there is smth after Xbox one lol
Killzone Mercenary was the only reason I needed to buy a PlayStation Vita. If Killzone got a new entry, thats the only reason I'd need to buy a PS5. Still waiting for a reason.
You forgot Killzone: Liberation for the PSP. A continuation of KZ1's story, it may not have been a FPS, but it was quite good as a Killzone game for me. I wish that Guerrilla would shift the story with a 3rd Extrasolar War, where the UCA/Earth is revealed as the real bad guys of the story (consistent with the lore) with Vektans and the Helghast finally fighting on the same side. Guerrilla's biggest mistake was killing off Jan Templar. He was my favorite character of the entire series.
it better go back to KZ2 & 3 or Mercenaries. KZ4 was not even a KZ game... It's actually the (KZ2)the 1st fps game I ever played on ps3 when I switch from Xbox and I was blowned away.. I miss that series and the MP was insane!! Such an underrated franchise that deserved so much more than it got!
If they at least remaster Killzone next year to celebrate its 20 year anniversary, they should combine both the Killzone 2 and 3 campaigns into 1 so they could make a longer campaign
I only played one game of Killzone and it's the most recent one (shame I know), and I was HOOKED. The story was incredible and the graphics (at the time they were amazing), gameplay and mechanics. I really hope in a new game soon enough, I swear on my life I'll dress in a suit and tie just to go and buy it
Despite my history of playing Nintendo 8-bit and all the way to Nintendo 64, and many other consoles, the only game that I felt a strong connection with and spent countless hours playing was Killzone 3 for the PS3. I was addicted to it from the moment I bought it and played it more than any other game until new games came out that I had to eventually sell. I was even offered the opportunity to join clans, but I declined due to my work schedule. When the PS4 was released, I immediately sold my PS3 and bought Killzone Shadow Fall solely for its multiplayer mode. Although the campaign was disappointing, I truly enjoyed the multiplayer mode and would play it for hundreds of hours, having a blast with other players especially when they know what they're doing, lol. It truly was a shame that the Gerilla studio shut down the franchise.
@@bigboyentertainment944 i dont know in that time was the gaming industry not zo big and professional as it is now then you can come in to look is now verry secret
Very good video. Well informed. Funny and I like the waveform when talking. *sigh* I myself am trying to do RU-vid. Keep up the good work man. I liked the video also.
thanks! I check out ur vid. You could tune down the music a bit since its difficult to understand you at some points in the vid. And definitely build in some suspense and jokes to keep people watching :)
You are the second person mentioning resistance and to be honest, I completely forgot about that game. There will new a new video in a few weeks about resistance if you wanna check it out, would love to hear your feedback 😀
And generally speaking, the games for the ps2 ps3 had some sort of special magic that modern games cannot re-create. Remastered version/remakes would be a great way to introduce more people to great franchises.
@@Kamurjan Sure sounds great! I mean you can't go wrong with a single player shooter fighting Aliens with great coop and crazy weapons from the same guys that made Ratchet and Clank ;)
@shinmentakezo2994 good point. Insomniac is a fucking G developer. The fact that ratchet got so many installments on almost every PlayStation console, is just a testament to their greatness.
Ehm.. Silent Hill Resident Evil Final Fantasy X -I love Killzone - but as far as "Playstation exclusive" titles, I'd have to dig a LOT deeper before I get to Killzone. -Food for thought. Or maybe that's actually thought; for food..
I bought PS 1-3 because of the Gran Turismo series. PS 4 due to Killzone and GT. And since PS 4 I've lost interest in GT series. I would only buy a PS 5 if a new Killzone part was released.
Well I shit on GT a lot in my videos lol ( as you may have noticed in this vid haha). So I better don't shittalk it too much xd. The ps4 unfortunately didn't have too many good titles, when comparing it to ps2 and 3 games. To be honest, ps5 lineup is kinda trash rn either maybe 2-4 good games and just buying it for killzone (imo) isn't worth it.
@@Kamurjan Yep maybe the ps5 is gonna be the first ps in my life which I do not buy. But if a Killzone is gonna release I also was thninking about renting. But I rethinked about it and from my experience I play the game for the multiplayer part... And multiplayer is a long term thing... But yeah is a lot of money for only one game...
@@Kamurjan if the game was on pc, the game would've sold way more and thus giving reason to the company to make more games, not to say alot of people don't even know this series exist due to it being ps exclusive, so many games that grow big that weren't exclusive are an example
They had one simple thing to do, to make kill zone super good bud they f it up. I told them make kz3 like battlefield with the mechs and fiew new awsome vehecles they even had the jetpack bud nooo they killed the game rip
Bro dont let it be vr. That means it's not gonna get the full support it deserves. It will be a tech demo for VR which is very sad i would rather just have a collection of all ths games on ps5.
Like everything, they screw it up. From kill zone 3, they had a great chance and simply went with kill zone 4, not shawfall. And Rico, javenco, jammer, narvul ect should of all be back, but noooo they had to screw it up completely, Really bad decision in gaming, shadow fall is a nothing like killzone, Could 8f been awesome killzone, continuing from space after killzone 3, but No. Really messed it up Sony
ru-vid.comHtqH6ULgmwY?si=dMFaxYtcfSFHxLFN Your comment kinda reminded me of this but change up "fring" with "guerilla games", and Walter is Sony xd Well, if guerilla games ever decide to continue the series, they still could do what you said.
@@Kamurjan Dude, really? I were thinking that youre into this kind of stuff. It's basically a network packages that were recorded for various applications on a ps vita when they had online. So by using them you can make new servers or something like that. Not easy at all but I can try.
