Zendaya making pink on pink work just like Dove Cameron making black on black work is a prime example of why playing into someone's skin tone can be a beautiful thing. They both look stunning.
You are so talented at this!! An original, you have your own funny spin on things PLUS the history of these fashion houses and their talent as they move around....I appreciate that. I just LOVE your channel!!
I don’ t even like or follow fashion, but I love your delivery and knowledge especially the historical references, you know your history of fashion and your understanding of art in general. So god job and thank you!
I like the idea of a leather mini dress with a be knit top, it's silhouette and the colorway, but Charli pretty much always looks like the clothes wear her and not the other way around
Since it’s probably the end of the world anyway it’s long past time everyone is able to wantonly create and experience all the beautiful things. I’ve spent my entire life being a fashion girl… and now this closed loop reverse meritocratic commercially manufactured exclusivity has finally gotten to me. The gloss is gone.
Regarding trying to sell a product: agree 💯 they don't understand that if someone sees $1000 over the top item, it makes all of your $100 tamer items seem affordable, cheap even. Want to sell overpriced orange logo sweaters, well do something wild and memorable with the concept! Ppl will buy the tamer version anyway, so they are screwing themselves by being so blah.
OMG, I am six minutes into the video and I had to subscribe because I am laughing so hard, I'm crying! When he says that the shoes that Charles Melton is wearing look a tad bit GERIATRIC, I just lost it! BAAAAAAAAAA-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! His delivery is serious, but to me it sounds hilarious because it is true! LOL!!!! I had to subscribe! :))
Luke, you have to make a sneaker styling vid! You’ve mentioned here, that the black sneaker looked geriatric on one of the gentlemen here, and I can’t help myself thinking that it’s about time for me to learn “how to sneak”. I’m sure that you will help a lot of people here, to stop looking like a toddler/ grandma, while trying to be chic. The struggle is real 😿
blake is like, nice to look at, boring, but at least she's nice to look at. i appreciate that about her now as well. also i LOVED the drowning in black moments (alexa demie/dominic fike) myself. could have used more accessories maybe to like 'finish' the look, cause i kinda agree with you about the half a look thing, but my inner goth punk ate that shit up if im honest. dove cameron's felt complete in comparison for example. emma stone's was amazing too, taking black in another direction that isnt like, the punk/goth vibe is refreshing. delivering looks but not albums PSLSSSSfsdjfhsdfkjds
She looks like a bank teller on the weekend. But it's relatable and, so, on brand. Better to see someone wearing the clothes rather than the clothes wearing them.
Addison Rae… dear, sweet Addison. When you’re shorter and curvy, you have to invest in a good tailor and understand proportions. I know this because I spent the first half of my 20s wearing similarly poorly selected and fitted items before my grandma, bless her, pulled me aside and said, “Baby, don’t be afraid of a seamstress.” And I never looked back.
I wish you didn’t sound so condescending in this comment cause it’s actually good advice. She needs to wear fits made for her… not necessarily runway stuff
@@mikaahoni1097 I doubt Addison Rae is checking for my commentary or advice on RU-vid, tbh, but if she does - Addison, I’m more than a decade older than you and have made these mistakes. Take my condescension with a side “I’ve been there” and get yourself a tailor, dear.
The fact that Kim K wore an outfit that references traditional blue collar workwear after that comment she made actually makes me puke in my mouth. Her depth of out of touch has no bottom.
Zendaya makes her looks work because basically anything is going to look good on her. It comes across as effortless because she never really has to stress about making a fool of herself. I like Zendaya from what I've seen of her as a person, and I LOVE her style. But I don't think we can really have a conversation about her fashion without acknowledging she has the face and body of one of the top global supermodels.
Everything looks good on Zendaya because of her figure. She's tall and VERY slim. She has petite chest, rather narrow hips. Fashion designers create looks with a woman like her in mind. And that's good for her, no hate at all but wondering how she manages to look good in size ZERO is bit hypocrytical.
It’s funny that you described Charlie D’Amelio’s outfit as appealing to a “cooler” customer, because to me it looks a lot like Winnie the Pooh. Don’t get me wrong, I love Winnie the Pooh, but I wouldn’t describe him as cool.
Rihanna absolutely did it for me with her first outfit. Matching the eyeshadow with the coat was absolutely stunning, both her outfit and her make-up gave me Y2K vibes, like Luke pointed out. The other outfits she wore killed, too, though.
It also would have been fun to see Anya Taylor-Joy in a look inspired by the 1930s, as that’s when the most recent series of Peaky Blinders (currently airing on BBC) is set.
@@queenb2450 Kanye has been styling Kim for the last 8 years and was the person who created the whole all-black balenciaga era Kim and other celebrities have been wearing. even after the divorce Kanye still styled Kim however after the whole Kim Kanye issue last month it seems like Kanye has stopped styling her which as result gave birth to the Vienna sausage Prada look
And due to Kim not being styled by Kanye anymore she either take a whole look from a runways and rocks it because it's easier or she would copy one of the old looks Kanye made for her or made for other celebs he ghost styles 🖤☕️
And also let's get this right there is no denying Kanye has hugely impacted fashion and there is nothing wrong with Kim doing this .a girl has to do what a girl has to do
@@Unknown-fr9tr even though Kanye has been styling Kim, not a lot of her outfits have been great either lmao. I've never seen a Kanye outfit and thought to myself, "Wow I would wear that" whereas there's this Tiktoker/Influencer named Wisdom Kaye who has such an impeccable sense of style
I would love to see Kim dress in a sweet Audrey Hepburn or Vintage Galliano moment. It would be refreshing to see her in a simple print dress. Theme is brunch in Postiano.
Time stamps for those who need it! 🪴 0:53 Addison Rae 1:58 Alexa Demie 3:10 Anya Taylor Joy 4:52 Blake Lively 5:54 Charles Melton 6:40 Charli D’Amelio 8:18 Dominic Fike 9:35 Dove Cameron 10:36 Emma Chamberlain 11:56 Emma Stone 13:06 Jennie Kim 14:38 Jennifer Hudson 15:35 Jisoo 16:36 Juila Fox 18:55 Kim Kardashian (Look 1) 19:50 Kim Kardashian (Look 2) 20:30 Kim Kardashian (Look 3) 21:55 Madeleine Petsch 22:58 Maude Apatow 24:03 Rihanna (Look 1) 24:50 Rihanna (Look 2) 25:28 Rihanna (Look 3) 26:33 Vanessa Hudgens 27:24 Violet Chachki 28:18 Gottmik 29:36 Zendaya
Seems most of those you featured were expressing a more European style of glam wear which tends to be more “quiet” and less flamboyant than the American or Middle Eastern celebrity-socialite scene. The top “brand-monogram” designers produce certain looks specifically for the US market knowing our “taste”. Agree with all your comments.
Rihanna had both of my favs (1) Gucci monogram (monogram done right) slip dress and (2) PR comment. However, Gottmik's MiuMiu cropped embroidered/floral appliquéd jacket was absolutely wearable art.
You are incredibly knowledgable and therefore I don’t take anything you say as ‘mean spirited’ but more so, informed feedback. It is as if you are genuinely pushing designers/stylists to do better? I love it. 🙌🏻♥️
Am I the only one who plays the game: Guess if Luke likes this? Like with every outfit you try to predict if it is 'good' or not? And there are times you are like: yes, he will love that...Oh no, he doesn't.. (or the other way around)
Vanessa. H ...looks like she wasn't invited but just showed up 😆 😂 😅 with all her old MiuMiu Pieces & them ugly as shoes ... but AGAIN COMMERCIALIZE FASHION THATS LOOKS AFFORDABLE BUT HHHORRIBLE @ THE SAME TIME
Love your reviews and videos as a whole...the only thing I think would improve your videos would be if you made the content larger and your side smaller. not that I don't want to see your handsome face it would make me be able to see the featured subject better especially small details. God bless you and keep grinding!!!😍😍😘🥰🥰
I had my monitor tilted and I thought Blake Lively was wearing light blue until you said "white top". Brought me back to the Blue Dress / Gold Dress era
J.Lo just won the ICON award, and during her entrance, models wore some of her most iconic looks she's worn. Can you rate those, please? I know you're tired of THAT green Versace dress, but its the only one I've heard you comment, on. I'd love your imput on the rest of the outfits. Pleeeeeeeeeease!
Tbh I think Jennie is doing amazing being a Chanel ambassador. She has to work with the recent awful collections but she’s making it work and keeping the younger people interested in the brand you rarely see her in a full off the runway fit she always has them altered lmao
The black outfit wasn't her best but I agree. She always makes them look desirable and cute, and oftentimes she wears pieces from older collections that look different enough to intrigue people because it's not what they always see on social media.
Lewis Hamilton, who is also Law's client and sat next to Zendaya at the Valentino show, is someone to keep and eye for. He delivers every week at the Formula One paddock even though he has to pay fines because they're supposed to be dressed with their team uniform.
luke can u ever look into enya umanzor ? Im not sure if you know her but i truly think shes a pioneer and headrallier of a very alternative style thats popular trough gen z. Shes toned it down a bit more lately but just watch her videos, even if her humor is not for u its a great look into someone’s wardrobe and life
@@tylerrose1238 lol why are you so mad. Shes usually ahead of the curve by atleast 6 months, shes had her own style for several years now and ofcourse she is going to be more advanced in her own style because she used to be like 18 and came from a poor family as she said herself. ( meaning she did not have that much money to buy herself luxury items ) shes a big inspiration to a lot of gen z’ers in terms of style. She was wearing cop copine etc etc a good 2 years before everyone started doing it. I just think ur tiktok might be an echochamber of the trends shes wearing and thats why u dont see anything else but that
Tha Vanessa Hudgens look omg those bottoms look like straight up mens boxers like with the dark tartan print and logo on the waist band. Straight up boxers. So on the upside she’s probably comfy as all get out, but cute fun or interesting? not so much.
The main issue I have with the Baggy Trousers trend is that it's never in proportion to the body wearing it or the overall silhouette...which makes it a sloppy, messy look overall.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I pass on having to look all of the sudden at what Julia Fox wears, because all major fashion outlets cover her. But the same goes really for Kim Kardashian. We really have other problems in the world I really hope we will move on from allowing someone to be famous for being famous very soon!
I thought I was the only one. She’s stayed relevant in fashion coverage for longer than anyone asked for, which hasn’t been long, but I said what I said.
